Not snowing here yet, but according the weather reports snow should be arrving in Maine starting at 10 p.m. or so and arriving in my area of Maine anytime from then to midnight or daybreak. Big Noreaster....supposedly going to be worst of season. YUCK! Well, if we gotta get snow, please cross your fingers that there's no school tomorrow...what do I care...I'm a Senior and don't have to make up any of the snow days, so bring 'em on!! ;D Julie P.S. They just announced on the news that power companies are advising people to be prepared for this storm, and the news guy called it a "HumDinger".     |

Yes, we're supposed to really get it here in the Northeast! It started snowing here in NJ around five, very lightly at first, then all of a sudden, WHAM!

Di I want to come to Hawaii too!!! It is snowing still here in Michigan. The kids schools have been closed and now I have to try and make my way slowly into work. I have a bad cold right now and the last thing I want to do is slip/slide to work. Gosh, I hate Michigan! DEE

Thanks Deb for hoping for a snow day....it worked!! ;D The only thing that sucks about this, though, is ofcourse all the snow (yuck!), but also the fact that today was supposed to be the Jazz Festival, hosted at my school, and that meant Show Choir competitions today (I am in Show Choir). And, the thing is, this was the RESCHEDULED date because last time even though I had school, other local schools had one hour delays and etc. because of the weather and we had to postpone it until today. If we have school tomorrow, then we will have competitions tomorrow because some schools have deadlines of when they need to compete by in order to enter the State level competitions should they make it after competing is this competition. Thanks Deb. Our theme is "A Tribute to Elton John" so it's a lot of fun...I am really looking foward to it! After so many hours of practice, it's time for us to show everyone what we've got! I have to admit I was nervous learning all the dance steps and never thought I could sing and dance at once, but I actually can do all of it pretty well! Julie |

Boy it was one long day today!! But, the good news ...drum roll... we made it into States!! We got a score of a 90 out of 100, which on a scale of 1-4 (1 being the best), gave us about a 1 or maybe a 2. The only negative thing the judge said was that my section got off from everyone else at one point because we couldn't hear the piano well enough and it set us apart from the rest of the group. But other than that, it went fine, and the best thing...I didn't fall flat on my face! Julie |

OK Guys...weather in HAWAII IS IN THE 80'S BABY! WHOHOOO!! Can't wait...Doin' Da Hula already!! Can't wait to get outta this STATE OF SNOW, COLD, and GERMS!! YAHOO!!! Now one thing was depressing. Had to get a new bathing suit...HELLO?? I am now going to starve for live BUT CAN'T..LOL..I LOVE FOOD TOO MUCH!! Can these suits get ANY SMALLER??? LOL...I lost weight and I still got a chunk of change "all goin' on!" here...GEEZ Man...these suits are like wearing a hanky and a band aid!! |

Oh Di 80 degrees...how GREAT does that sound!!! I know you will have a blast in Hawaii...can't wait to go myself! Also can relate on the bathing suit shopping. I am SERIOUSLY working on loosing this weight so that I can wear some kind of bathing suit! Scarey to think that the suits are def getting smaller, especially if you are having problems.
You would think that the darn cold would give off any germs but sure is not so...been with a really bad cold for a week now and Wednesday I was real dizzy (more so than normal!) and spent the day vomitting every time I lifted my head off the pillow. It sucked big time and so happy that it is over. Still have lots of snow and cold weather with probably more to come. Had to laugh, though, Pat shoveled out a path from the porch to the road to get to his special ed bus and you should see the path!!! You would have thought he was drinking, it is the crookest path I have ever seen! Kids sure can be funny. Anyway I am done rambling now. Just want to say have a great time in Hawaii and have a mai-tai for me!!!

Yep...snowing here as well. Rained earlier then by the time school was about over it started snowing and was yucky drving home in it! I don't think it's ever gonna end! Plus been in a crappy mood the last 3 days so the weather doesn't help that any. Ohwell. Julie |

Suppose to snow here again today, 1-3 inches...I am soooo sick of snow!!! I know it is ready to do something because I have the worst sinus headache ever!
BTW Jan, hope your ankle gets feeling better soon, I know it must be hard with a cast and the snow. It has been hurt for a while now, right? Is it doing any better?
And Julie forgot to tell you, congrats on making the state competition!!! I know you must be excited and happy!

School was cancelled yesterday...yay! That makes 5 snow days this year...and since I'm a senior that means I don't have to make up any of them, so bring them on! That's the only upside to snow. Wow, Dee...surprised to hear more snow is on the way for you. I guess tomorrow and into this weekend there is supposed to be more snow around here, or atleast bad weather of some sort. Thanks, Dee....I appreciate it! Yes, I am extremely happy about being in Show Choir and the fact that we made it into States. Now we have to practice, practice, practice and build a set and get costumes beforehand because winning at the States level is much harder than it was the other day just for district. I think we are also adding Elton's "Honky Cat" to our song list. So we must learn that before April 9!  Julie |

Come On Spring Is Right!! Soooo cold here..especially after coming home from HAWAII MAN!! 80's there and picture perfect weather almost everyday!! GEEZ..it's cold here!! Come on flowers a bloomin'!! hey there Harmony girl....was just listening to HONKY CAT from Elton. Pulled out the ole Honky Chateau CD!! It was so funny...Cole, my 8 year old, loves it and was singing..GET THAT PUDDY CAT!! I about died!! That's what he thought Elton was singing..so now of course, I sing that instead!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE ROCKET MAN!! One of my all time favorites songs by ELTON!
