Well said, Jan. As I see it, the people who run the current fan club is a bunch of lazy, dishonest & greedy amateurs. That they seem to be getting away with "murder" reflects rather poorly on Cher's camp as a whole. Including Cher, I'm afraid.

Almost 3600 other Cher fans must be noticing somewhere cos this thread got MANY "VIEWS" as u see..If ppl didn't care they wouldn't even bother lookin! LOL.I know I don't bother reading things I don't care about.. (Plus the "many" who emailed us and don't want to come foward for reasons we understand..but a shame a Cher fan has to not speak what they feel as I've told ppl..if ppl don't speak up things don't change like Pam used to say..Cher never seems to hold back what she feels..although she's a Taurus like me and Susan! And many are stuck in the membership too..but again we understand from their viewpoint)... LOL..thanks Mark for your input..Pam would be happy to have read it and appreciate your thoughts..BTW Sue the old banner still comin up? Did u get the one Gab made recently..also any chance Cher's b'day stuff can go up before July 4th! LOL..also for future convention stuff let us know Where to send all..thanks:) Hope ur feelin better..I still got neck thing:(

It's been claimed by several posters that the fan club, on more than one occasion, has sold concert tickets to scalpers. Has anyone been able to produce (scans of) ticket stubs, receipts, or other evidence for the rest of us to see? The claim sounds more than believable to fan club critics like me, but without documentation it's essentially a myth.

Hey Mark Not sure if Susan posted earlier or who did..but unfortunately the ppl that had the "PROOF" did not want to come foward w/the scan of tickets/receipts..It was quite a few unfortunately too..  It unfortunately cannot come from us without the consent and okay from the ppl with the proof..many complained..many were upset but unfortunately are "afraid" and are not as vocal on the boards and such..they feel that some specific issues already were just not addressed and then just re sent back to the fan club? Noone knows why..so they feel with that in addition what's the point..Sue and I (and Pam when she was here)all feel/felt that they should despite cos it's just wrong..and it's unfair..Mega..Some ppl told us that ENTIRE first few rows of certain shows all had same problem and all realized all were in same situation at showtime..It's like Sue said earlier..unfortunately at this pt like falling on deaf ears..It's a shame..really is..but like we had said earlier and time again and Pam said in past..if noone speaks up (We all know how Vocal Sue and I's fellow Taurus Cher is! LOL) nothing can ever be done..I know like myself that's one thing Pam myself and Sue all love about Cher..she speaks her mind when something's not kosher so to speak..and she lets ppl know it..Must be a Taurus thing Sue! LOL..the other problem we had was many..some existing mbrs know the club is doing wrong but feel unfortunately Cher does not handle the business side and that if something were to be done it would have already and that her camp did not care..I may be blind like Sue and Pam was but I truely still DO think Cher mega cares how her diehard fans are treated who buy her cds..see her shows and movies etc and support her so..I just think she again does not handle the business side of things..My main pet peeve like others at "this late pt" is it's just a shame some huge stars out there like oh the STONES and Kiss and such can help out their fans and diehard Cher fans can't..Why some artists not others..? That's why I loved Dave's original suggestion to have NON fans run the club a prof'l type company..He really searched it out and I thought that was a great idea..I really did..I know Ossie had suggested our lovely Boston Q would run an incredible fan club..Gotta second him on that one..! And even if he did run it and things could not get done the way he and or fans wanted I can guarantee one thing as I know Pam would and Sue would..NOT one fan would go ignored when accessing a site..I think newsletters/updates would bed done and the most important I think all fans at the absolute very least would certainly be treated w/respect! I know ppl emailed me privately once CherAdmin locked the fan club thread..shocker..I could have predicted that one! LOL..Anyways..to Steve on there if ur reading this (not sure if ur on here)I do remember u..U rocked!!!!!!! How're You? Didn't realize that was your screen name..maybe u told me but I forgot I am old..I know many didn't come foward they came to us privately a lot of fans so that's why it looks like only a few complaining..either way..Lost cause..and it's a shame...Cher and her fans deserve better..

I was surprised to see so many people in favor of the fan club at Cher.com. Now, I love Cher.com, it's "home" to me, but that just surprised me a bit, considering how unanimous the opinions seem to be over here with regard to that whole mess. But it's good to see fans crying foul instead of just taking it... a lady like Cher deserves the best fan club out there, and she really doesn't have it. P.S. A handful of posters reporting that they obtained concert tickets doesn't necessarily mean that the fan club is universally loved. Besides, unless you have monitored the board 24-7, there's no way of knowing how many posts were rejected.
A post of mine was deleted, for example, and the moderator told me (as well as the entire forum) that it had contained slander (without going into specifics). I posted a polite rebuttal, and that was also quickly deleted. He told me privately that it was because it was a reply directly for him. IOW, the moderator can slander me - under the pretext of being concerned about slander - but I'm not allowed to defend myself, or repost my original message. Nice twist. I have privately sent him a few comments and look forward to see his reply.

I hear u re: being universally involved..But why would ppl have brokers incl myself at times and others tell them they're a/w tickets from the FAN CLUB!!!!!!..and when tkts rec'd they read FAN CLUB on them yet? And when Terri (aka our lovely texas cher fan went to one show they entire row behind him at one of the shows as well..Just one of zillions unfortunately..Regardless of which..whether universally having them involved or not..I just feel that Cher and her diehard fans deserve to be treated w/respect and fairly and I see my friends that follow OTHER artists out there..big names too..not ppl from the past only..BIG STAR NAMES and wow they get the kitchen sink..just a shame Cher's fan club can't provide the same..and not just w/the tickets..but w/everything..too much to list..regardless like I mentioned on cher.com it obviously is a done deal..Many don't want to come foward..just of the ones that came to us for being afraid and again to which I say it's a shame when ANYONE (not just Cher fans but anyone)can't express honestly how they feel..I just don't get that but being Brooklyn born and raised I dunno just guess New Yorkers (let alone a stubborn Taurus! LOL) are raised different! What's on our chest is on our tongue! LOL..not just w/Cher but ANYTHING..Hard to explain but many know what I mean anyways..as for Cher.Com and this and that getting deleted w/no explanation and ppl not being able to express how they feel HONESTLY on the site..again I respect ppl's websites and their decisions how they run them..But I dunno..I just don't get that honestly..Sure if there's cursing and ppl being downright nasty it's one thing but to honestly express something..I dunno..to each his own..Ppl can't know the entire truth if some can't come foward..but either way at this point it's a lost cause anyways..Ppl just don't seem to care from various different ends..Shame..Cher and her fans deserve more..everyone has a right to their opinion ..And Kudos to my good buddy Pam for something she began ..this thread now has ALMOST 4,000 threads..if ppl were not so concerned or didn't care they wouldn't even bother a looking! LOL..god no..and yea I don't know why I wrote involved either..I am old..and typed it a while ago..prob a spelling goof on my end I am sure..no I know your standpoint believe me..and like my NJ buddy said and fully agreed last nite..ppl can't know whole story or truth if many afraid to come foward in the 1st place and if certain threads/issues get locked once someone or something has something negative to say..shame..whatever happ to freedom of speech..so opposite of Lady Cher huh? Hi, Anybody hear about the Streisand tickets that were illegally purchased and sold over the internet?I heard about it on the news. Alot of the tickets involved were disqualified from a couple of arenas. I think one of the arenas where tickets were disqualified were at MSG.

Yea Bob was all over the news here..MSG was one of the MAIN arena..I keep telling ppl in the mid west and overseas HOW LUCKY they are to be in NON fixed areas when it comes to tickets for Cher and other artists..they have no idea what we go thru in the NY area..which is even the more reason she needs a better fan club for her fans..Congrats to my buddy Pam..OVER 4100 views girl..Although nothing got done or will..someone cares or they wouldn't be a reading! Ur still a rockin in Cheruniverse! Shame so much gets done for OTHER artists fans but not someone for a legend like our Cher

That's a given. Have you noticed the pattern of lying dormant between tours? Apparently, it's no fun to run a fan club, unless there are free tickets to be had.
