Yes, Happy turkey day to everyone out there!! Think this has been a hard year for most of us, but hoping 2009 brings us better news. Meanwhile, everyone try to enjoy the remainder of 2008 and enjoy all the holidays. I don't care for the winter season in the fact that I could go without the cold and the snow, but the holidays are definitely a special time of year. Happy holidays to all my Cher Family! Think this might be the last year my great aunt (my Dad's side of the family...she is my Gram's sister) will be with us for Thanksgiving, but we thought that last year, too, so no one can know for sure, but she's not doing too well. She is now a full-time oxygen user and has to go down to the cancer center once a week for treatments. It's always been the tradition for all family and friends to go to my g. aunt & uncle's for Thanksgiving and every year LOTS of people show up...will report back after this year's with a head count! She is persistent that no matter her health conditions that everyone still come while she is still alive, which I think is pretty honorable. Of course everyone lends a hand in all the preparation and cleanup...there's never even an inch to move sideways in the kitchen!! -Julie-

You have a nice holiday, too, Jan! Found out today that another one of my g. aunts found out today that she has cancer in a kidney and lung. (Her husband passed away suddenly a few years back from an aneurysm). Not sure of the severity of it yet, but either way doesn't sound too good...feel real bad that this had to happen right before Thanksgiving...sure will be an emotional Thanksgiving this year for everyone since it could possibly be one of the last gatherings...cancer runs really bad on my dad's side of the family. My mom is always worried about my dad, too... I know some doc's and scientists say cancer is a genetic thing, but I think otherwise...seeing how it's attacked everyone of my gram's sisters and her included (she had breast cancer) , plus other family members...really don't see how that's all a coincidence. I think Sue is ok but still busy...I Google-d her name and it came up a lot with recent things. Right now her theater is doing the play "Annie". I know I miss her, but glad to see she seems alive and well! Jules
