Well just finished it..my friends picked it up for me at her book signing..It wasn't bad..ppl at work mocked the crap outta me..they HATE her..but they HATE Cher too..I liked it..could have used some pics though..but overall was interesting..Curious others opinions

Her LI New York signing is Oct 26th..And I hear FL was pushed to November..sounds like she's making the rounds all over

OMG Hilarious Youtube.com from her NYC book signing of her helping this cute 84 yr old woman..it's soooooooooo good and also soooooo funny..I'd cut and paste it but I stink at all that stuff..if u go to Youtube and type in Rosie O'Donnell signing it comes up though..so good

BTW was either pg 86 or 87 I think..was a slight "Cher" mention in Rosie's new book..When she spoke of the hospital that helps Iraq war amputees and such..Rosie asked them did any celebrities donate and they ONLY answered how CHER (YEA CHER!!)donated $300.000 dollars and to which Rosie offered to match:) I love and admire so ppl who do good w/their monies!  Shows deep down how generous and caring both Rosie & our girl Cher are:) |

Wow her book must be doin well..3rd NYC book signing now added Nov 6th at the B and Nobles in Columbus Circle..so nice there..we met Swayze yrs back at that one

I got the book the other day. Haven't finished it yet, but so far I'm enjoying it for the most part. Have to say some of it is a bit dry, but it's definitely readable.
I loved the Cher mention. ;D
I don't care what anyone thinks or what the 'rag' papers say...I think Rosie is a good person deep down. Sure, she has her ups and downs and imperfections..but she's no different than anyone else when it comes to that stuff. Basically the message behind Celebrity Detox is that she knows she's human too and she never claimed to be sweet and innocent. Granted she and the "View" weren't a good match, but at least she's willing to admit her flaws and not try to cover them up.
Anyway, not sure where I was going with any of that...

I agree Julie of all the endless celebs and stars out there..I just was so happy w/that MEGA positive Cher mention:) Rosie's doin like signing after signing here in NYC..her next is Nov 6th..I guess cos she's from the area..it's like her 3rd just in our area for the same book so sure it's doin real well:)..Did u see that adorable thing on Youtube.com (you type in Rosie O'donnell signing) of her helping that adorable 84 yr old woman at the signing? it's hilarious Julie! U would love it! Hey hit NY around Xmas girl!

No I didn't see that Jan, but I'll have to go check it out! Gotta love YouTube! I would LOVE to come to NY around x-mas time but ehhh not sure how the finances are going to be looking!  I'm looking for an apartment because right now I'm traveling back and forth to work from my parents (I broke up with my gf and now I'm staying at my parents, trying to get back on my feet), which is about an hour one way. ...I know, in the city an hour probably wouldn't sound that bad, but keep in mind I'm in MAINE (country, boondocks, the sticks...you get the picture!) and there's no heavy traffic...ugh, with gas prices and the crap amount I make at my job I just can't keep doing it! Not to mention when bad weather arrives...that's gonna make for messy traveling. |

Yea I hear ya Julie re: Finances..My low back out 13 wks today and although I got insurance every dr co pay is $40 a pop:( not to mention PT..meds..etc and everything else AND still paying Lady Cher off..my car and all else:( I need a money tree to fall on me..Literally..and Xmas around the corner..literally...But should u hit the Big Apple let us know! Till then Happy Turkey Day.. |

Sorry to hear about your back, Jan. Ugh....does seem like there's one thing right after the other, doesn't it? I always wonder when it'll be 'my year'...lmao. The only time I can see that happening is if I win big on the lotto.  Anyway, I was looking online at air rates to NY, and some aren't all that bad. I could probably scrape enough together if I planned ahead a bit. It would be awesome if maybe we could get a few Cher buds together ?? What do you all think? Plus, I am fortunate that my boss is very good about giving requested time off and doesn't make a big fuss. In fact, she gave me this weekend off (rare thing to get Sat AND Sun off!) because she told me I never complain about my schedule and she thought I deserved a nice weekend. Sooo, if I do get something worked out, you will be the first to know!! |

WOW nice boss..she hiring? LOL..Well I know the tree lighting in Rockefeller Ctr is Nov 28th so maybe one weekend in Dec..cos at the beginning will be a mob scene I am sure..Not sure if Jamal still doin Color Purple if so we'll have to swing u on by the theatre:) ..Yea I seriously need to hit the lottery as well girl! BIGTIME>>>someone could write me a check right now and my Cher debts would still not be paid off..Maybe we should go on Deal or No Deal and start opening some briefcases! LOL.. |
