Hey everyone... just a quick 'hi' to everyone, and to say I'm sorry for not being around here for awhile. I haven't had any time for anything lately, and this is the first time I've been on here for what seems like forever. Anyway, I am working 2 jobs (thanks to everyone who kept telling me I'd find something...it did take a little time and patience like you said!). I am working at a Laundromat, 7 PM until whenever in the morning (sometimes as late as 6:30....it's been know to go longer than that, but thankfully I haven't gone past that yet!). It's washing over 300 bags a night of laundry from a couple of local camps. It's a job, and the money isn't too bad, it's over minimum wage and the hours are plentiful....but it's actually a lot to handel, Tues-Fri. Standing on cement floors all that time has already taken a toll on my feet. Plus, I just got hired at Dunkin' Donuts. Today was my 4th day. So now I'm up to 20 hours. Tomorrow is my 19th birthday and luckily I am only working 3 hours in the morning. Today was my first morning, and it was pretty fun. The other days were just so-so...I really don't care for some of the people I had to work with, but this morning's crew was awesome and so helpful with things. There was one really rude customer and she almost made me cry, but other than that things went pretty well I guess. Ok, I need to get going. My gram is taking me out for lunch for my bday since I have the rest of today off. Tomrrow I'm having a small party here at home with family and a couple of friends...nothing too huge. I already feel old! Haha. I'll try catcing up with all the posts later. I've missed you guys! Julie

Thanks Colby, Kris, Lisa, and Debbie! Haha. Sorry if I confused you, Debbie. No, I'm not working 20 hours a day. What I meant was so far at Dunkin' Donuts I have accumulated 20 hours (5 hours a day). I am sure my hours will increase, but I am still somewhat in the training mode. But, on the days that I am at the Laundromat and Dunkin' Donuts, I do work about 16 hours or so, give or take a few hours depending on how long the shift ends up being at the Laundromat. I hate never knowing when I will be out of there...it seems so strange to look out the window and one minute it's pitch black out and the next the sun is shining. My schedule on days when I am at both places, for example is I go in to the Laundromat for 7 PM, get out around 6ish, then come home to sleep for maybe 4 hours, get up in time to take a shower and head in to Dunkin Donuts for 1 PM, then come home at 5 PM and then go in to the Laundromat again at 7. But all of this is a good learning experience for sure. I think it's already made me appreciate my money more and appreciate the thought of going to college so I can hopefully land a career that I really enjoy. Not to say that I didn't recognize these things before my jobs, but it certainly has been reinforced! Ok, I better get going. I might try to read a few posts, but then I am going to bed. I went out to eat earlier, then came home and slept for quite awhile but I am still very tired. Thanks again.... hope everyone's having a good summer thus far! Julie P.S. LISA...I did get your email and I will try to reply back to ASAP! I feel so bad being so behind on everything....I'll try catching up as fast as I can.

Thanks Dee! Work at Dunkin' Donuts so far has been pretty fun! Despite angry customers and a few witchy people that I work with, it's not all that bad. The Laundromat, though, I really don't enjoy all that much. I have been giving some serious thought into getting done and just sticking with DD...even though the Laundromat pays better. But we'll see. Tonight I'm having a small party with an DQ icecream cake...yummy. Julie

Thanks Dann and Joanne. My icecream cake was a mix of vanilla and chocolate, with chocolate crunchy things. It was really good. Haha...when I come home from work tomorrow, I know who'll be into it again! Then I have to go in for work at 7 for the Laundromat. I'm working 10-5 at DD, so I get 2 hours off before going to the 'mat...this should be interesting... I did get a lot of goodies, but unfortunately all were non-Cher related. But I did get quite a bit of money, which can always be used for my Cher bargain finds! Thanks again guys. Julie

Ohh, I know what you mean about rude customers (ugh!), and the toll all that standing takes on your feet! I'm a cashier at a grocery store, and I just got off a nice 6 1/2 hour shift... bleh. Hang in there girl, it gets easier. ^^ And happy birthday!

I got your email, Lisa. I will try to get back to it tomorrow!! Lol..yeah, maybe I can make it to NY...but not so sure. Depends on work. Speaking of work....I shouldn't technically even be home right now....I should be at the Laundromat, slaving away to god knows when in the morning, but I got sent home early after the team leader told me I kept doing things wrong and would have to call the manager tomorrow and speak to her about it. I wrote all about it in my myspace blog if anyone cares to read it... blog.myspace.com/harmony1986
