WELL, Toys R US did it again!! Yet another person they cancelled the order with!! I called today, to see when the doll was coming in. After being put on hold for almost ten minutes, the operator said they cancelled my order because it had been on order since April 23rd, and it still hadn't come in, and their policy is to cancel orders after that long. What a bunch of you know what! I asked to speak with the supervisor, and he fumbled for awhile as to different excuses. He said he would see what he could do, but at this point, I know it is a useless case, since this has happened to so many people. I guess they didn't want to sell it for $34.95 when it is going so high now on Ebay and elsewhere. This is so discouraging. It seems the true CHER fans always end up getting screwed, if not for the dolls, it's CHER high priced concert tickets. Cher management are you listening? We are the ones that keep are keeping CHER in the limelight. We are the ones that are buying the CDs, DVDS, and concert tickets. Why are we the ones that end up empty handed???

Rich I am hugging u right now I hope u feel it..I for one totally feel your post my friend..My NON Cher friends out there always feel so bad for me ..they know how screwed the longtime (and newer too)fans get w/regard to everything..they follow other artists and can't believe what we have to do w/regard to anything Cher:( That truly does stink..I feel for u  |

Aww, Jan, thanks! I feel it, I do! You, know the thing that pisses me off most is that they never even notifed me they had cancelled the order. I'd still think it was coming in if i hadn't called. The doll (s) are up on Ebay right now for $800, but I refuse to do that. Oh well, I'll get over it, but it still sucks.

I wish Cher herself could see your email and half the other heartaches ppl go thru..it's totally ridiculous..the times I've been blessed to have met Cher in person she's an extremely caring person who truly loves and cares for her fans..she'd be angry for ya too..it's really insane..Hang in there..and $800 for a doll is crazy!

Hey Jan,
Not trying to beat a dead horse (or doll in this case) LOL, but I got a email from Google Checkout last night. That's what I used to pre-order the Ringmaster doll. They stated they "did not cancel my order, but in fact Toys R Us did (Toys R Us was blaming Google for canceling it). I did some more investigating, and Toys R Us did cancel it. I plan on writing the President of Toys R Us. It's more then that d**n doll now. I'm pissed, and it's the principle. I'll never do business with them again. Rich

Yea I hear ya and I'd probably do the same...Really nuts...hey wonder if Cher herself knows how much her own ringmaster doll going for these days on ebay..Betcha she'd be shocked..esp since that one looks less like her than the H Breed one..lol..Good luck..let us know the outcome

The continue saga of David vs Goliath,
I emailed the CEO. I'm assuming he read it or someone close to him. At any rate, I got two calls back from supervisors. I gave them the whole story again. Come to find out (like I knew already), it was THERE MISTAKE. They cancelled it by accident (or intentional ). Since I wasn't going to back down, they did re-order. The bad news is, it's on backorder!!! But, I don't care. As long as I eventually get it, without paying an arm and a leg, I'm fine with it.

Well glad it worked out for ya:) I had a feeling once u wrote letters to the correct ppl it would..shame u hadda go thru all that before though..
What I don't get is..the ringmaster doll looks the least like the real Cher (I mean the H Breed looks just like her)..so don't get why of all the recent dolls why that one is going for so much more..Wonder if Cher herself aware the prices it's going for on ebay even? Just seems nuts..some over $300 range for a doll others are getting for under forty bucks! LOL..at either rate, hopin to get my hands on one soon and not for an arm and a leg...sorry I didn't pre order sooner w/toysrus I guess..Don't think Cher herself would pay $300 ebay prices for it either! LOL

The doll arrives tomorrow! I've been following it on UPS website and it is in town now ready for delivery on Wednesday. I'll be waiting at the door! I never thought I'd get it!

Thanks Jan. It's just a shame I had to jump through hoops to get it. Oh well, it was worth it, I guess. Still won't do business with Toys R Us again.....well, unless they get another exclusive. Then I'll start jumping again! LOL

Got the doll! Found the UPS man two miles from my house and he was cool enough to give it to me there without having to wait for delivery. Doll looks great #127 out of 996. I agree with Jan, the Indian one is much better looking and more realistic. I do love the box. It's taller then the others, and the colors are really nice.

I can't believe the RingMaster doll is selling on Ebay for $500.. Man it's a great doll but that is amazing. I just found the Half Breed Doll on sale at Kaybee for $33.. I want to get the Ringmaster badly but not paying that kind of money.. Anyone know where to get it cheaper possibly?
