[glow=red,2,300]I've got the Blues[/glow] No, I don't have a cure, I was wondering what you folks were doing. I have a picture of folks I met at the Toronto concert as wallpaper on my computer here at work -- but, I'm thinking that missing people is actually making it worse... I have "the blues"! I decorated a wall in our "Billiard Room" at home with three Cher posters, and about 60 small pictures of Cher. I've been ordering CDs (like the UK versions, etc.). I pre-ordered "Stuck on You" with Amazon.com. What else can I do??? What is everybody else doing??

I guess my treatment for the blues is SHOPPING!!!! I have been buying all kinds of Cher items! My picture collection is growing like crazy and I am running out of wall space in our bar area! I have been buying old lps, (had to get Matt a record player for christmas so I could play them!) cds, and lots of Cher books. Isn't that right Jan! I love to listen to my cds while I bead bracelets, that helps. And if I get really bad Cher withdrawals I but on a Cher movie or video. I know this is not the same but the next best thing to Cher is shopping! (and I think she would agree!) PS We really do need a big Cher adventure for the future! Guess I will have to wait for the convention!
Jan, Bert, I can't make the july adventure but I am seriously talking to my oldest about coming to New York (he really wants to go). SHOP (cher), SHOP (cher), SHOP (cher) (they kind of go together well don't you think! DEE

I hear ya Joanne.. What I am doing is getting a great collection of cd's.. I finally got I Paralyze and 3614 Jackson Highway ( still sealed), lol, just can't get myself to open it, since it is so rare.. I watch the tour on dvd, just cross fingers for U.S. after her overseas tour ends.. I'm also working on a couple of shirts for myself and a jacket but my friend and I are having aweful luck with them, either the transfer gets weird or there is no colored ink, go figure.. We'll get it, just know it.. Must get my ensemble ready for the *victory lap*, right Susan..

I've been trying to distract myself. I've got money set aside either for a U.S. victory-lap or in case Morrissey tours for his new album this summer. ^^ And I've been trying not to listen to the Live CD cos that always seems to make me depressed.

well, thanks a lot, people! Now I have to go find "I Paralize"! Are you all talking about some Latvian remix, or maybe a version only released in Peru? I'm gettin' kinda cranky about the different versions that are out there! I finally got/heard "You Take It All" and I find out that there is ANOTHER song on ANOTHER version of Living Proof that I have never heard! Yikes "The Look"

Here's what's working for me:
1. Reminiscing, talking about the shows I've been to to anyone who'll listen! Putting the Cher tour scrapbook together a bit at a time, going through the pictures and the souvenirs.... wow! What a ride Cher took us on!
2. Believe it or not, actually going to concerts of OTHER artists! Gasp! OMG! Since Cher's tour here has been over (for now) I've been able to pursue other artists on tour that I've always wanted to see, without that "I've got to be in the first 10 rows, I've gotta make a costume, I've gotta decorate a sailor hat, what will the Cher doll wear, I've gotta make a sign, OMG will she see it...". I just get whatever tickets to whatever show and go. I saw David Bowie last week at the Fleet Center here in Boston and I wept!!! It was a revelation. ALWAYS wanted to see him in concert! And i got Prince tickets for August! YAY! See, I feel better already!

Michael that is exactly what I've been doing! I just recently saw Bette Midler, I got No Doubt tickets for the summer, and then just got MADONNA tickets.. I keep trying to think of those, and occupying myself.. but sometimes I'll stop and think "I wish I was doing all this planning for CHER".. and then i'll get a little sad, but it DOES help to talk about all the cher times I've had, and my front row experience, and HOPEFULLY MORE TO COME!! ...and seeing as I've been down at Yvette's almost every weekend LMFAO it helps to be with your Cher friends, so you can CHER - together!! because we are the only ones who truly understand... I do get a thrill when I put in the live cd if I am driving in my car though..... You could get real bad and did what Yvette and I did, the cable guy came to her house and we were sitting on t he couch and we had the farewell DVD on, and we pretended we were there and holding up signs, sitting on the couch yelling "LOOK AT US CHER!!"
LMFAO!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D

I know this post is a little old, but since I just got "connected" last week, I'm just getting around to reading the old posts now. I've been wanting to ask this very question for about six months! I don't have much in way of photos and such, but I'm lucky enough to be able to listen to CDs (headphones only) for most of my work day, so I just load up my CD tote and listen to Cher sing all day, which helps. I've bought about 35 Cher/Sonny & Cher CDs or so since seeing the concert, so I'm never at a loss for something to listen to, and I've picked up a couple of books since last summer, too. Sometimes I just sit back for a few moments and relive the first few minutes of the concert. Since I didn't think I was ever going to get to see her ever, thinking about that night washes away the blues every time. I don't think I'll ever forget it -- watching the opening montage and feeling like I was going to explode, the music, the chandelier, the curtain going up, and (I swear this was the first thing I thought of at this point), grabbing my sister, who went with me and who was just excited, yelling "There are her feet!" "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For......" and the enormous joy I felt in those moments makes me smile every time. ;D Movies are great, too, but what always helps is that my sister and I talk about the concert a lot still -- almost a year later. We took a limo to the city instead of driving, had a great dinner, and had so much fun getting wound up in the few hours before the show. Being sisters, we've shared a lot of really great fun over the years, but we both agree nothing to date has topped that night. This site is one of the best cure-alls for the concert blues, too. And, of course, I've already begun stashing the cash away for what I hope will be Cher's return of the Farewell Tour later this year (I hope, I hope); we all know that the very best way to feel better about post-Cher concert blues............is to have another one to go to!

Miss Alexandria, A - HEM............ Did you forget to mention ME? You took me to see Bette Midler for my birthday, we are going to see No Doubt, also Madonna together......... And then there's da man - PRINCE - who I've loved since the early 80's...... I'll be there in Boston, Michael. Got great seats on ebay for the first show. Maybe we can meet up before and party like it's 2004? LOL We always had great times before the shows........I miss that a lot, but I find that I am able to pay my bills much easier this year!! I'm glad Alexandria and I get to "Cher" more time together, watch Cher movies, "Cher" a Frrrozen Hot Chocolate, OMG! - I totally ran out! Gotta go to NYC and get some more! I'm still reading the Cher books I've bought from ebay, and listening to her CD's. Although I am listening to Prince again and getting psyched for that show! I'm so glad I snuck in my camera and took so many pics - I look at my albums and it's bittersweet. We need ONE MORE SHOW!!! Yvette I guess I should have known By the way U parked your car sideways That it wouldn't last.... You're the kinda person That believes in makin out once Love 'em and leave 'em fast..........

AHHHHHHHHHHHH Susan, I love that attitude, everytime you say that I just feel like it's going to happen.. I must get more postive I guess.. Ok, let's think about this, I must know who really "believes" whole heartedly that Cher will come back to US? Please let me know, so I can get more postive about it, sometimes I really feel like it is it for her after July.. Even though the rumors are that she is definitly coming back to US late summer/ early fall.. Man I wish so much this is true, also to hit it big in AC or even hit the lotto soon, then if she does, I won't have to worry about the money, lol..

Of course i didnt forget you!! Do you think I would sit on someones couch with ANYONE ELSE and pretend I was at a cher concert while the cable guy was there? LOL!! poor thing.. he didnt know!!!!!!!
I was I was going to see Prince.. Thanks to Yvette- Ive been slowly getting into him.. She's a Prince maniac, dancing around at 5 in the morning with the tequilla bottle dancing to Prince...- LMAO.
CHER will be back though, I can feel it.."It's not over til it's over" and believe me- it isnt over!!!!!!!! She HAS to come back. With all the "Cher" time Yvette and I get when I drive down there- we have never sat together to see Cher.... so she is going to come back because she knows Yvette and I havent sat together yet...LOL. I just want one more time.. The last time I saw her was July 19, 2003...and It didnt end the way I wanted it to...I want her to come to Worcester, so we can go to Irish Times and part-ay!!! Keep thinking positive guys, SHE'LL BE BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We just have to Believe!

Jan, respectfully, you guys are crazy, and it's great!!! Thanks for the info about the photos, I'll go look after I finish my post. Lisa, I believe, I believe, I believe (my screen name says it all! )! When you're feeling down, you just gotta believe!!! We've all have heard her say she's been "an evil you-know-what diva for 40 you-know-what years," and that she wants to end the touring part of her career while she's still doing great shows (when wouldn't she, though?). I can fully understand and support her decision if that's what happens, but I can't imagine her just walking away from that magic that passes between her and her audience at a live show. That simply cannot be an easy thing to do, especially for a performer who truly appreciates her fans. I just think she's still just too good to stop touring now. The way I look at it now is if she decides to stop, then I'll have to remember that I've been blessed to have seen her perform live; sadly, many people have not had the chance, and it was a dream of mine to see Cher perform live since I was a little girl. BUT, if the tour continues later this year here, we'll all, to say the least, be dancing in the streets! Either way, I'll have a very good reason to be happy. Basically, all it comes down to is a gut feeling (with a little help from Susan's posts, too ) that you should start saving for ticket money now (or buy that lottery ticket), just in case....you just never know with Cher! If you ever need help feeling more positive about this, just let me know, that's part of why we're all here, right? I'll post my "I believe, Lisa!" as many times as you need to see it! ;D Debbie
