I wish she could see all of our wishes for her, too, but I think...no, I'm sure she knows how much we all love her.
Great birthday page, Lisa. I can tell a lot of time -- and love -- went into it.
Happy Birthday, Cher!

Thank you Deb, I appreciate that so much.. Yea she won't see it but you're right Deb, she knows.. Remember that Primetime interview when she said how she could see all the fans before we could see her.. OMC, just the look in her face, she knows, I'll never forget her expression, so lovely.. And Deb, so nice you joined the group here, it's great getting to know you, you rock..

Lisa, you are so sweet to say that. Thank you so much! I'm really enjoying getting to know you and everybody else better, too (I sort of knew some of you a little bit from, ahem, another board, but I was a little too shy then to post very much). I really like it here. And nobody's ever told me I rock before. I feel very cool! I just wish I had some photos or something to share with you all or could post some news from time to time, but most everybody here is much more connected than I am. No big deal, though, we're all here for the same reason! ;D That Primetime interview is forever etched in my mind because the footage that was shot at MSG for Primetime was shot the night I was there. We were sitting about 15 feet from the stage, and I still look for us in the shots! They also had a cameraman at the souvenir stand just as you enter the Garden, and there was my chance to get on TV, but I moved out of the way so the guy could get a better shot at the merchandise! What a dufus!!!! I got one of those Cher looks at the concert, you know, the one where she locks eyes with you? I was sitting so close to the stage, and I couldn't believe it had really happened, but it did! I can't remember anything else about the moment -- what she was singing, wearing, nothing, although she was kind of moving toward my right. It just obliterated my mind for a nanosecond! I could see the brown in her eyes, and that smile!!!!!!!! Won't ever forget that, either. I also remember her talking about the connection she and her fans have at her concerts while she's on stage. I remember that feeling, don't you? Very intense, but in a wonderful sort of way. She knows we're here, no doubt about it! And I meant what I said about the birthday page -- Susan's, too (and this whole site). You can just see how much care, effort, and devotion went into these pages to make them what they are. Thanks again for making me feel so welcome! Debbie

You're very welcome Deb.. Yes I do remember that look of Cher's, sooo cute.. That is awesome that you were there that night, outrageous, bet that was a blast.. Oh boy, you should have got by that camera and then gave a scream for Cher, LOL!!! I remember you also but we really didn't post much, I understand what you meant..Well look at how nice things work out..

Deb, I wish we had "known" each other during the MSG concerts. I was there both nights in June and it would have been really cool to get to say "hi" Lisa and I live in the same state and we still haven't met face to face, but hopefully on the "victory lap"! Susan:)

Things do work out for the best, don't they, Lisa? Yeah, I chickened out in front of the camera, all right, but I made up for it during the concert, if you know what I mean. Susan, I, too, wish we'd been able to hook up before the show; it would have been great to say hi and meet face to face. I was certainly there early enough to "visit" (I think we were one of the first 10 people to enter the Garden -- I didn't want to miss anything from that night. I just couldn't wait to get there; I'd waited my whole life to see Cher). I (watch this, Lisa) believe that victory lap will happen. It has to -- so many people have seen Cher multiple times, and I was just getting started; I have a bit of catching up to do! MSG! MSG! MSG! MSG! Debbie

Yes Susan for sure!!! And we missed each other in Hershey too, both there and didn't even get to meet.. We will get together for victory lap Susan, we must have a blast together!!! Cher must come again, LOL.. Hope we get to meet too Deb, that will be so much fun.. I was trying to catch up myself Deb.. I hadn't got to any of Cher's concerts except the Farewell, even though I loved her so since 10 yrs old, it never got to happen, so I figured I will make up for it these past 2 yrs almost.. I got to see 6 shows.. It made my summer and fall, I didn't even take a vacation, saved my money for the concerts.. It made me happy though, best times I ever had.. ;D

Lisa, I just noticed your avatar (is that what it's called?). Way to go, girl! The Cher-O Meter is running on high test now!!!! Six shows!!! Now that's something worth saving money and vacation time for; I'm impressed! I wish I'd gotten tickets to the other MSG show like so many others did. The Reading show last fall was the day before my birthday, so I thought I'd give myself a present and go, but I couldn't get tickets. Toronto would have been a blast, too, but again, it wasn't in the cards. A lot of things just fell into place last spring for me ticket-wise and with the timing, so I will forever be grateful I did get to go once. But if Cher returns to tour the U.S. again, there'll be no holding me back!!!! We can all meet up beforehand and have a toast or two, or three. Debbie P.S. - I hate to sound so computer illiterate, but would you guys be willing to offer me some help in getting an avatar up and running for my posts? I've wanted one for the longest time, but I have no idea how. I'd probably need some serious hand-holding to do it.

OK girls, here we go.. Yes they are called avatars.. We make them at our Cher Fantasy site.. They are already uploaded and hosted, so all you have to do is go to the site and pick what one you like.. It is in our site 2, here is the link to the page www.geocities.com/cher_fantasy2/Avatars.htmlOk, you pick what one you want to use, then click on it, in your address bar on the top it will give you the link of the avatar, write it down so you will have it handy for your profile.. Then log in to this site and go to your profile, you will see your profile, go down to I have my own picture check that box there and type that address of the avatar in there, then go to the end of your profile and click the save changes box and voila an avatar will appear.. I know I wrote alot here but it is quicker to do than all this writing I just did, just follow step by step of what I wrote and you shouldn't have any trouble, it's easy once you get used to it.. And thank you all for inquiring about it, take a look around the site too if you like, there is other things there too, that's why we need two sites.. Dee did very good, she got her's up with no trouble at all.. Also thanks for the compliments, take care Cher pals, Lisa *if you have any questions, it doesn't hurt to ask* ;D

What is the address of the avatar you want to use? Susan

Thanks, Susan! Well, I got the avatar up, but only because I chose it from the drop-down list in the Profiles section. The original address I was trying to use was: www.geocities.com/cher_fantasy2/cherW0licon.jpg (is that a cap "O" or number "0?"). It's the same picture, but I'm just a little frustrated that I couldn't do it the way Lisa explained. I could copy the address from the other site to eliminate typos, but when I tried to paste it in space, I got a message saying I needed to give credit. Yikes!!! Enlighten me, please (and thanks)! Deb

I don't think geocities will allow a remote link. It would work (be visible) at geocities but not on any other site, or on a board. Lisa provided a lot of avatars for the board that can be accessed by going to your profile here. They are not hosted at geocities and should work for you. Susan:)

HOORAY Deb, looks great.. ;D Oh and btw all the avatars and banners are hosted by my hometown from aol and that's a good place to do your hosting.. It doesn't go down like some of the other hosting places.. OH MAN, you know what, I did it again.. Click on the avatar and your link to the avatar will be in the address bar, so sorry Deb.. I did the same thing to Susan when I was giving her icons to use, LOL.. I will modify my other post, that's why you got the red box Deb, sorry again..
