Okay, Pep Talk Time: First off let me say "I feel your pain" I REALLY DO! I wish I were there too. I will probably kick myself for years for not getting to this last show. With there only being two RESCHEDULED east coast shows this leg (that were originally supposed to be right around other shows some of us went to) I know a lot of us missed the chance to say a final goodbye even from the east coast. Like some of you I'm actually a little sick in the gut not being at the last show. Okay, that said ~ And here is the pep talk starting ~ let's not let not being at the last show overshadow all the fun and great moments we have had attending shows on this tour! This tour has allowed us to see Cher every so often over the last three years. Think back to before this tour was even planned. We were all hoping for even a few tour dates. Well, we got them! And how lucky we are that we were all able to experience this tour in some way...at some point along the way. This tour is ending, but that doesn't mean Cher is going to stop everything. There will still be Cher appearances (hopefully Broadway, Carnegie Hall, Vegas or Nashville - okay maybe not nashville but she did talk about wanting to work on a ranch for awhile ;D ) Where we will have the chance to all meet up again. Let's face it, we have all become happily spoiled over the last three years with all these wonderful opportunities to see Cher and get together. Until we have the chance to to meet again at a Cher event we will just have to make excuses and try to get together when we can! So for those of you going to Hollywood have a WONDERFUL TIME!!! I am so happy so many of you will be there! For those of us not going...Think about the fact that we have been lucky to see this show when we have. Don't let not going to the last one diminish the wonderful memories of the ones you HAVE been to! No matter where we are on April 30th we can take the time to be happy this tour has touched us in some way, and be proud of Cher for what a phenomenal record setting tour she has had! Remember...The beat goes on! Susan:)

Wow Susan.. You said it all right there and I sent my pals a little surprise for a boost, the beginning clip of the concert, it always gets us pumped, right Yvette!!! Did you get it Susan? I will always have this experience in my heart and mind that noone can take away from me.. I met such great buds now, love them to bits and we will certainly get together this year to have a big blast in NYC!!! Just because the tour will be over doesn't mean that we will never talk again.. I know we will all still be here for each other and that's what true friendship is all about and that's how I feel about you all.. I do have to cry though about all of this and it's because I am too emotional for my own good, lol.. If I would have known that seeing Cher for the last time was in Sept 04 I would have doing a proper goodbye but who would have known, right.. I think we should use the chat Susan while the concert is going on and we can talk about our Cher Connections, so this will be a HOOTING nite all, so be prepared, LOL.. I was told there is a 3 hour time difference for us Susan in PA, true? OK, so all of you going, party for us and kick some A$$ cuz we will be here cheering you guys on!!!! ;D Luv, Lisa

Very well said, Susan.. I totally agree, and even though I also would love to be in Hollywood on Saturday for the final show, I have come to peace with the fact that it just wasn't meant to be... I just think back to spring 2002, when the tour dates were first announced... and how excited I was that I was going to go to 4 of the shows (Philly in June, Los Angeles and Anaheim in August, and Minneapolis in September)... Now, here we are three years later, and I ended up being able to go a total of 11 shows, which is SEVEN more than I had originally thought I would be going to!! I am just so thankful that the tour kept getting extended so that I could go to all 11 of those shows, and I have so many wonderful memories of each show that I went to... memories that I will cherish forever... But, as the saying goes, "all good things must come to an end"... and even though the "final farewell" is just days away, I know that in my heart, the last show that I went to back on November 20, 2004 will not be the last time that I will be in the audience at a Cher concert... It was the last time that I saw Cher in concert during a TOUR, but it won't be my last Cher concert, I just know it. To everyone going to Hollywood, I wish you safe travels, and like Lisa said, y'all better "kick some a$$" and have the time of your lives!!!!

Thanks for the pep talk, Susan, I've been thinking those same thoughts for quite a while now (although they've been alternating with the "How the heck can I get there" thoughts lately). We all have so many great memories of this tour, and are a little spoiled (in a nice way), as Susan says, too. If we couldn't make a particular show, we (well, at least me) always said, "I'll go to this other show or that other show instead. That's worked out great for how many years now? I'll forever be grateful for the four shows I go to, the friends I've made along the way, and for a treasure chest full of memories that will make me smile when I think of them 30 years from now.... I hope everyone heading west in these next few days has the time of their lives - please let us hear all about it when you return! For everyone who's staying home - well, I still haven't made peace with this one yet myself - I'll be thinking of you, too. Starting next week, we all have to start thinking of ways to stay in touch (we can do that here!!!), get together, and continue having fun with each other. It's going to be a challenge, but with all the great minds here, it should be close to a no-brainer!!!! Debbie

So beautifully said Susan. These Last 3 years have been the ride of my life! I am so happy that I came aboard! Friday may be the last show but it is NOT the end...As Dan has said I am sure that I will once again be seeing Cher in concert. But the best part is the friendships that have formed along the way, will never end! I think back to the very first concert and it was just me and Matt (and I had to beg him to go with me!)...I didn't know anyone else going or even how to meet anyone else. Than as the number of concerts grew so did my friendships. I have met sooo many wonderful people (and hoping to still meet more) and been to so many different places that without the shows I probably never would have experienced.
This trip to California is a little bitter/sweet for me. It will be the first trip and Cher concert that I have been to without Matt. Yes, he has been my bestest Cher buddy! We would have never guessed when I bought him that ticket 3 years ago that Cher would have brought us so close together. He has stood by me with all the ticket prices, hotel rooms, travels, and yes the Cher maddness! He has ended up helping me make my hats, shirts, signs, and yes even the Cher pumpkin! He too is amazed at all the friendships that we have formed and he was very excited for me on the NY adventure. Him and Sheri have also become good buds and together they are a riot! I know he wishes that he could be there with us but we just could not afford it this year. So as I am out in California I will def be thinking about all the people not there and how much they all mean to me! Wish I could give you all a cher connection from Cal but my phone sucks big time!!! So just remember that I will def be thinking about ALL my Cher buds!
This is not the end...just a slight goodbye! Have to do another adventure again REAL SOON! DEE

Thanks, Susan, for this thread! I've almost forgotten how many Cher shows I've seen... 17? Something like that! I know many of you have seen waaay more than that, some less... but I remember a time in my life when my dream was to see Cher in concert ONCE!... let alone 17 times! And the last two shows I saw with my best Cherbud Ericka in the 2nd row were just the most phenomenal shows ever... Providence (right, Jan??) and Portland (right, Alex?? Does my scarf still smell like Cher??)! Meeting so many of you at the "last" show in Toronto (hahaha) was an experience I'll never forget, either... esp. Pam, who I'm thinking so much about right now...
So to cap all of this off by either spending 3 grand on a ticket up close (OUCH! Portland was not even a TENTH of that!) or to sit waay back for less (but not much less!!) to say I was there at the last show just felt like too much trouble for too little. I never get enough Cher and I could just keep going back to concert after concert... ultimately, though, some family stuff went down, my partner's mother had two strokes and is in a nursing home, and I had to choose to focus on my family and my finances, and wrestle my wallet away from Miss Cher!! She's gotten plenty of my money, and I know in the future she will get plenty more of it, in support of whatever she does! But look at all that I'VE gotten from her... just unbelievable memories that I am so grateful for.
I know these shows are gonna be phenomenal! I hope she does Way of Love again!!! I hope she throws Heart of Stone back in! I hope everyone that goes has the time of their lives! You all know I would love to be there, but I feel really clear on my decision to stay put, and call Cher's Farewell Tour a wrap from here. And like you said, Dann... I KNOW it's not the end.
(I told Ericka that if I were to go to these shows I was gonna make a sign that said: "FAREWELL ALREADY!")

Thankyou Susan,
It makes it a little bit easier to bear, knowing that there is a group of us that are not going to make the final show.....For those of you going, enjoy the moment. Some of my best memories with the Cher show have involved some of the smaller cities she played, such as Charleston SC and Daytona Beach Fl(i dragged just about every family member to one or another show(10 in all)and they loved it............I agree with Dann,I'm sure I will see Cher perform again too but not as part of a historic tour.....Cher has done a wondeful job of entertaining her fans and set the bar high for other female artists...take that you b**ches, indeed!!!!
