U know how I feel about it Megen! It's been MAIN ONLY pet peeve in the CHER world since I've been following her since birth! LOL..Literally..My friends who follow OTHER artists can't believe the crap I go thru w/cher tkts..they just DON'T ..my friend who follow C Dion..oh lord she gets like no more than row 2 base price thru her fan club and so many other ppl I know that follow OTHER ppl..I lost my collection I treasured over 30 yrs to see my idol UP close..cos like u said before and me why do the DIEhards have to sit in 3rd level..just not right..u know? And u get ppl who don't even care for her lately winning radio contests!!!!!! Just to see if they get thru..Bert remember the guy next to us in LI? God I think he was sleeping thru half of it ..and he knew NONE of her songs!!!!!!! He asked his wife when she did " I Found Someone" what the hell it was? Come on..ppl like that should so NOT be calling! I know the Australia tickets are high..nuts! Really is!!! Still less than my NY ones to sit close cos I don't think they gotta do the whole broker crap to sit up close..seems more easy out there to get Cher tkts like Mid west and stuff..oh well..I think Ms Cher should treat us! LOL:)

Go right ahead Megan and have that drama queen moment! I'm going to have a depressed moment. I have to agree with you that the prices of tickets..especially up close...are so out of control!! For that reason I have only been up close once in all the shows I have attended, and those were an anniversary present from Matt (and he paid an arm and leg for them!!) For each concert I have had to make the decision.. do I want to pay mega bucks to sit up close or have money to buy items to cherish. I chose items..Call me a materialistic girl, I guess. I feel so bad for people who have had to scrap and save or sell all their treasures just to see Cher close. It is sooo not right! As for this final show I was sooo close to going. Matt would have let me spend the 6/7 hundred it would have probably cost me to go without saying anything, but I felt so bad watching him try to pay off bills now. Have to say that I agree with Lisa, it just came to soon. My trip to Hawai was already in the works (lord knows that was my idea also and Matt is going along with it.. bless his heart!) and household things are breaking like crazy this year! I am a little depressed right now that I was so close to going and had to face reality..we just can't afford it, and the high ticket prices aren't going to help any..Please pause for a moment of depression ....guess I will just have to live it through the real die-hards that are willing to put EVERYTHING they have for just ONE MORE SHOW!! Good Luck to everyone who is going for those tickets today and when the concert happens I would LOVE a cher connection!!! Take "cher" everyone DEE

I hear you guys and I'm glad I could echo some of your sentiments too... It's ironic...I was just trying to find out info on how exactly this seating works at the H.B. and I found this article that said this... "What purpose did the Hollywood Bowl have apart from just listening to music outdoors? The idea from the very beginning was to democratize music. Artie Mason Carter felt that people would happily come to listen to good music if they could relax, where children could play, and everyone could sit underneath the stars. Above all, ticket prices had to be low — the lowest price for years was only a quarter." Sooo many things today are only available to people who have money. This was a topic discussed often in several classes throughout my high school and college careers. Sure we have public school available, but it's arguable to an extent that even education is becoming available to only those that have money. Technology is huge and so many schools can't afford to have up to date computers...so many families can't afford computers in their homes. This article talks about how the Hollywood Bowl was built to help democratize music - make it available to everyone from all walks of life. I find it ironic that Ticketmaster, basically single handedly, is allowed to de-democratize music. I mean, maybe I'm exagerating a little here but still...Concerts aren't available to everyone anymore - only to those who can afford to buy the tickets. And look at all the people who can afford to have memberships or season passes to the H.B. and other places - they automatically take a portion of those great seats. I'm just rambling on and on in my usual long winded way...but thanks for putting up with it guys. Oh and Susan I'm not even gonna get started on what you mentioned about great seats going to those who kiss the most back side..... Have you looked into trains at all?? That would be safer than the bus, but I don't know how expensive it would be... Dee I know what you mean about collection v. concert. I'm like you in that I chose to keep the "stuff" because it means a lot to me too. I agree that this should never have to happen, but at the same time I admire people like you Jan, who have sold so much of your collection to get your concert tickets. I also understand what you mean Dee about feeling bad about going seeing your husband paying the bills. Right now because I'm jobless and in huge debt with college loans my parents are really bending over backwards to help me financially. They keep telling me that they're not doing anything special, they're my parents and they're supposed to help me...but I just feel bad that I'm 22 and they're still helping me pay bills etc. That's why I'm only considering this because I have Christmas money and a birthday coming up. Without that money I couldn't even consider it because I couldn't justify going and spending so much money while watching my mom and dad help me with money. This whole thing just sucks out loud...people who deserve to go and want to go should be able to go...

Susan, I do hate to fly also but will do it if i have too(perscription drugs do help).Right now i'm feeling after 10 shows on this tour that it won't be the end of the world if I don't go.I'm trying to buy a house and that seems more important at this time......Of course if i could score great seats i might try, but for me,going to the show and sitting somewhere in the middle or back just won't cut it and i have so many great memories of the shows i've been too. i prefer those to be my last cher show memories......To those that do go,it will be historic and fun!!
Also,i believe that Cher will no longer tour but i would bet chances are good she may pull a "celine" and appear in Vegas for a run of shows in a couple of years, especially if she has another hit record.......

well, i'll be there. living there, that is!!!!!! i start moving into my new west hollywood townhouse at the end of this month. i can't wait to have big cher reunions when everyone is in town!!!!!
but i will only go to the last show if i can scramble up a good seat. i know how that may sound, but after 22 shows and the most amazing cher experiences of my life in the first few rows, i am spoiled enough to not want to go if it means sitting far back. its not fun for me at all. but i'm sure i'll find something!!!! i'm one of those idiots who will pay hundreds for the umpteenth time.....its a disease, i tell you!!!!!!! ;D
