d**n d**n d**n!!! I wanna go!!! I just checked Qantas' website cause I have a tonne of Frequent Flyer points (enought to get me from Sydney to LA and back) but they have no redeemable seats for the dates that I need right now. I'm going to keep checking every day though. I still have one more Australian show to get a ticket for this week and that is $300 for a front section seat, so money is tight, this Cher woman is ruining my finances left right and centre!
Good luck to you who are going and getting tickets etc, if anyone ends up with a spare that isn't too crazy in price, can you let me know??
Thanks muchly! David x

Do you think there is anyway to hold her to the new part of the tour title ? ;D It's like the tag line to CATS... It was "Now and Forever". When they announced the show was closing I jokingly and wishfully said "maybe we can claim breech of contract". Susan

Well, I found it a little strange that there was no "final concert" buzz surrounding the announcement for this show. So to answer your question. No. Absolutely no idea. Susan

I emailed the Hollywood Bowl. I'll post as soon as I hear anything. I am wondering if this is another case of Ticketmaster jumping the gun and posting before all the contracts were signed. The fact that the presale is supposed to start very soon (2/2) does make you wonder, though. Susan

I haven't seen anything official about this being the "final concert" either. After all, the "final" show took place over a year ago, didn't it?

Hey Guys! I just read that Cher supposedly confirmed the Hollywood Bowl date, and that it would be the last, in her monologue in Vegas. I totally want to be there...I think I could swing it too with left over Christmas money and a birthday coming up.... How are you guys who are def. going planning to get there?? I'm thinking I might want to try to spend a few days in CA too if I do go. Does anyone have any beginning stages of plans for where they might stay etc?? I have that nervous energy in me that I get before the possibility of a Cher adventure...*hoping this all will come to fruition* (did I spell that right?)

For me it all really depends on travel time. I don't fly (I'm mean, really, I tried it and disliking it is an understatement.), so it is going to mean a long time getting there and back. I don't know if a bus trip that far by myself is such a great idea, either. It would be fine if the buddy system were in effect, but alone I'm not so sure. Susan

I have also just read that Cher mentioned the Hollywood Bowl being her last in her monologe in Vegas. I would sooo love to be there with everyone, and I would love to visit California (Have never been there) but I really do not think I can swing it this year with the Hawai trip already planned. I also went on ticketmaster and see that it is no longer listed. But 2/2 is not very far off; so will have to bee soon. DEE

Hello everyone. At the MGM Grand last night, Cher made the announcement that the April 30th Hollywood Bowl show would be the end of the tour. She said that this is where she and Sonny started, and that was where she was going to end it.

I've been looking around too Lisa...I just checked to see if anyone had written anything on a bunch of Cher sites...on cher.com someone said they called ticketmaster and talked to someone who said the tickets were gonna be $40-270.75... Eeeks! Granted, I know that I'm not gonna get a great seat on either the presales or the regular sale through ticketmaster...But this means a good seat (rather through ebay, broker, anywhere) is gonna be expensive. Right now I am job hunting and so I don't have an income, plus I'm paying back college loans. So I knew for me to swing this it was gonna be tough, but now I'm more worried... What do you guys think, those of you who are trying to go? Are you gonna splurge for the good seats? Or just be wherever you can get? I'm torn because I'd like to be there no matter where I could sit, but I also have great memories of my last show, front row in Toledo... What to do, what to do!

That's insane for an outdoors arena..really is..in my case so up to my ears in Cher debts that it is like "one more on the pile"..totally in Dave's boat..Yea tkts gonna be a b**ch..they got em..so unfair..(brokers I mean)..but really for an outdoor arena that's high though..I thought the 129.00 ish for J Beach was high this one's real high..but we're gonna try for the best of the best

I'm going...made my hotel reservation (OK gotta stay in Comfort Inn because I've already spent a fortune on Cher concerts). The Comfort Inn is $79 a night and right by the Bowl.
Tickets will be expensive...but remember guys people in Australia are paying $500 to see the Diva.
And don't forget the Bowl is an outside concert -- the ambience is wonderful (as long as it doesn't rain). I saw Gordon Lightfoot there then back in the 80's.
Look forward to seeing everyone!

Yes it does suck that the tickets for the Australian shows were $500...but remembering that doesn't make $270 or whatever its gonna be seem any less expensive. Whether or not something is expensive depends on the person. To the guy I sold a floor seat to for about $40 in Toledo? Any more than that was way more than he could afford, even though he wanted to see Cher so badly. Right now I'm a just graduated, looking for a job in this horrible economy, 22 year old with thousands of dollars in college loans to pay back. To me, $270 is more than expensive. Comparing it to $500 doesn't make it any less so. I really really really don't mean to sound obnoxious or bitter or whatever here...It's just annoying to me - and to so many others too, I know - that ticket prices are so expensive that the average person like me can't afford to see their favorite performer. And Ticketmaster (a monopoly if I ever saw one) takes the good seats and hands 'em over to ticket brokers who jack up the prices. I wish I could afford to spend a fortune seeing Cher. But as it is I probably won't be able to afford to get a seat on the floor to this concert - if it turns out that I can go. And the fact that the ambience is good everywhere in the venue is no consolation to me. It still sucks out loud that I probably won't get to be close. Will I still have a wonderful time? Will I realize it was a once in a lifetime opportunity that I was lucky to be at because so many people couldn't? Of course! If I do make it there. And if I don't...Will I still cherish forever the absolutely amazing memories I've gained from the concerts I've attended on this tour and feel blessed to have them because some people couldn't go to any? Yes yes and yes! I just needed a little "life isn't fair," drama queen moment for a minute there. I don't take those too often and I needed one!

Wow Megen!!!! You said EXACTLY everything that I feel right now, right down to the T.. Yes it sure does depend on the person and it is expensive for me especially when this would have to pop up at wintertime, heating bills are sky high and other necessities that are needed as well.. And Susan I have been trying hard with that jar but this really did come too soon!!!! I'm gonna try to work something out even if it wont be for CA.. HOPEFULLY!!!

Well put Megan! No it is not obnoxious for you to feel that way. If premium tickets were not always going to the brokers and "other groups" that sold them to "the highest bidder or whoever kissed the most back side" I think it would all be a little easier to take. Go ahead and have a Drama Queen Moment, as long as you are understanding if I start whining about my extreme fear of flying. ;D Anyone from the east coast planning to take the bus? Susan
