I just wanted to say a little prayer for Laura's passing. While she came after the disco era she is still considered Disco and was talented and died so young. Horrible to hear this...

Such sad news.... she was WAY too young....
During her career, Laura recorded two "Cher songs":
"I Found Someone" -- on Laura's album HOLD ME (1985) and on Cher's first Geffen album, CHER (1987)
"It's Been Hard Enough Getting Over You" -- also on the 1987 CHER album, and on Laura's album OVER MY HEART (1993)

That's right Dann, your good. Laura's version of It's been Hard enough was good from what I remember but I think Cher's was better. I alway's thought Laura's Power of Love was so much better than Celine's but the rest of the country didn't. Oh well each one has there favorites.

Was very sad to hear about Laura Brannigan's untimely passing as well.
An anecdote about her music and my room mates Dave and Kelly... Dave bought a cd of her's early this year and played Gloria non-stop for days. It was all we heard in our apartment.
We went to a kareoke bar one night and Dave got up to sing a song. Well, the DJ messed up and accidentally put on Gloria! The three of us started laughing and Kelly and I urdged Dave on to sing it since he'd been singing it all week in our apartment anyway!
RIP Laura.
