Anyone here live in the Tampa area? My boyfriend is taking me there for the week before Christmas. YEAH, BABY!!!!! He told me he was gonna golf one day, and since I'll be alone (by the pool) I thought I'd check here to see if maybe I could meet up with someone from this group. We'll be using his daughter's Harley while we're down there - can't wait to ride again!!! I haven't even started my Christmas shopping - oh well, time to write out my IOU's !!!! Warm weather & sunshine is waiting!!! This is gonna be the 1st time I'm away for Christmas, but I know we're gonna have a blast!!! Yvette

Thanks, Lisa! He's not a Cher fan - sorry to say - but he's still a great guy. He doesn't mind that Cher is all over the walls - everywhere here!!! - especially the cardboard standup looking over him!!! He knows about my "addiction" It's a Cher thing - he doesn't understand!!!! Yvette My next house will have no kitchen --- just vending machines.

Awww! You sound so lucky, Yvette! Enjoy the sun for us....as I look out the window at this moment, the snow is a' comin' down.... I want a white Christmas, but that's about it. My grandparents left for Florida a couple days after Thanksgiving to go down to their place (I think it's like in one of those retirement ppl parks) for the Winter....they've done this for years (altho they ususually go before Turkey Day, but this yr my gram was in the hopsital for some testing of her heart before they could leave), and they always drive down instead of flying. I always envy them...getting to live in Maine for the summer, and living in Florida for the Winter. I have only been to Fl. once when I was about 5 or 6...my dad drove my mom, sister, and I all down. We stayed with my grandparents some of the time, and we went to Disney World, and some other places. My mom said that her and my dad are thinking about planning a trip for after I graduate from h.s. in June, and she wanted to know where I would pick to go.... I said probably Florida. So, we shall see...if everything works out, I might just get that trip as my 'graduation present'...that would be so awesome. Whoa...sorry for rambling like that! But, seriously, Yvette...enjoy youself and that guy of yours...... you're one lucky duck (even if he isn't a Cher fan). Julie

Jan, I agree with Alexandria! I LOVE that quote!!! That's a fantastic banner. It IS a banner, isn't it? I have no clue with this computer stuff. I've been so busy - sorry I haven't replied sooner. I made the plane reservations last week, and now I'm looking up hotel info. We're staying at Clearwater Beach for 4 nites, then we'll stay at his daughter's house for Christmas Eve & Day. He's a spontaneous guy - doesn't worry about anything and could care less about making plans. I know it won't be boring - he has a short attention span - like me - he's a year younger, but sometimes he acts like a 5 yr old on crack!!!! ;D Always keeps me laughing!!! Tonite we've got temps around 13 - UGH!! - so I'm really looking forward to getting away. I never did my Christmas shopping - didn't have time. Oh well..........Christmas will come again next year, same time!!!! LMAO Yvette Housework done properly can kill you.

WOW Alexandria!!! That is awesome! Love your banner! Perfect for YOU I wish I had one.........haven't a clue how to do it, though. 4 more days to Florida!!! This will be the longest vacation I've had in awhile, so I'm looking forward to it. Just hope the snow they predict for Monday won't delay the flight Yvette

I can make you a banner too if you want Yvette. Just tell me what pics you like, or a theme you want and I'll do it! I hate snow and I hate flight delays so I'll keep my fingers crossed that neither happens to you and that you have an awesome vacation!

Awwww........Megan.......that's so nice of you to offer!!! Thank you soooooo much!!! Your Holiday banner is way cool too!!! You're so creative! I haven't a clue where to begin - I may want to use one exclusive pic I took in my banner. I'll have to give it more thought when I get back from vacation. Right now I've got so much to do and little time. d*mn this job, it interferes with my life!!! LOL One more nite to work (Fri) and then I have to pack. Got a few holiday parties at local bars in town to go to on Sat - that's when I'll really feel on vacation! WOO HOO!!! I haven't had 9 days off in a row in a few decades! ;D I'm hoping the snow that's coming our way doesn't screw up the flight. Last time I went to FL was in 1977 - I know, I know - many of you weren't even BORN then!!! But let me tell ya, kids, this old broad can still party and I plan to KICK *SS while I'm on vacation!!! Hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a safe Holiday Season. Yvette WARNING: The consumption of alcohol may leave you wondering what the hell happened to your bra and panties.

Yvette, have a great time! And Julie you have to let us know if you actually get to go! We might be going to Orlando in July. I love it there. I have two great aunts who live in Clearwater. As a matter of fact we went to visit them during Spring break in 93' and got snowed in for an extra four days. We just got nasty Florida weather, but the whole east coast was hit really hard and our area of PA was hit with something like 37 inches of Snow. I actually called one of my professors and told him I wanted to make sure he knew I was not ditching class. He laughed and said not to worry. He said to enjoy being stuck in Florida and he would see me when I got back. Susan

I will do that, Susan! My grandparents have a place in Port St. Lucie. It got hit by the storm, but atleast it's still standing and realtively suffered minor damage compared to what some people went through. They have a car port thing that got it's roof blown off, and I guess there were dents in their house and etc. from flying debris. Other than that, they were pretty lucky not to have gotten as much damage as some. That is funny about your professor! I wouldn't have minded having a few extra days in Florida either... that would have been a nice problem to have and well worth missing a few days of classes. ;D Hope you get to go to Orlando.... wouldn't that be neat if we ended up going to Florida around the same time? Lol. It would be so funny if Cher were to do some surprise dates in FL then...I'd be there in a heartbeat! It's funny that I have done a great deal of traveling but only been to Florida once. My dad actually lived in Jacksonville for awhile...I think that was back when he was in the Navy. He said he wouldn't ever want to live permanently in Florida...it's just one of those nice spots to go for vacation times. Julie
