These will probably be all over the news but in case they are needed for reference here are some help links of places to make donations. I don't think I need to say anything about how desperate the situation is for those in the Louisiana region. Help if you can, or encourage bosses or friends to make a donation. www.redcross.org/ for info or call the Red Cross at 1-800-HELP-NOW To Make a Donation. The Animals Need Help too! The Humane society: www.hsus.org/and Noha's Wish are two places working to help the animals of the disaster. www.noahswish.org/Donations.htm

Hello everyone,I'm new to the Cher connection and I wanted to Thank yall for your prayers and well wishes as we here in Louisiana try to make things a little better than they have been. It's truly been hell on earth this past week and New Orleans is gonna have to rebuild all over again. I'm alive and I can continue to make a difference to somebody somewhere over here who needs all the uplifting they can get. Thanks again, Maryann/Louisiana ( a new member) bonofied@hotmail.com

Welcome! Glad to hear you are okay and able to help others. I have to say watching this unfold on the news this past week has made me so sad. To see these big strong men breaking down in tears has been something. My heart really goes out to them (and everyone else). Again, welcome! Keep us posted with your first hand accounts! Stay safe, Susan

Hello everyone, It's definately been a trying week here in Louisiana and the pictures you see on tv are only some of the real life going on around here or what's left of life, and it's been like I'm in another country lost, trying to find my way back to the U.S. and the reality of it is, I've been here all along.I know everyone is probably tired of hearing about this storm and it's devistation ,I understand that, because for 8 days now I'm tired of hearing about it because nothing , not 1 thing came out of it for the people who've lost thier loved ones, I thank -god I wasn't one of them. Thank you for letting me join the connection,I know i'm gonna like it here, and to all my Cher friends, thanks, you are the best, now that gives me reason to smile something that's been hard to do this past week but I'll be ok. Maryann/Louisiana Ok , so let's get to the Cher stuff,I've really enjoyed checking out the great pics of the shows, the fans, and all the great stuff associated with this great connection,Susan, you've done a great thing here, it's exciting, and again I'm excited to be here. Thanks.

I think we should band together and do another Cher adventure when Cher is ready to build a house for Habitat for Humanity and join her. I wrote the fan club forum about this (OK one can dream), but wouldn't it be a great way to show support to Hurricane survivors while showing our support to Cher!

I doubt The Official Cher Fan Club would want to draw attention to themselves at this point with so many people asking questions about them and the ticket episodes. Even if it's a positive thing it will make news people look for the dirt on them which will not be difficult to find. As for the positive to this thread, I think throwing our support behind an effort like this in any way, shape or form is a great idea! We all need to do what we can! Susan
