Okay, so I was told there is a post over at Cher.com saying Image Entertainment is releasing the Hollywood Concert on DVD. So I go check the post and that is what it says. So here is the deal. Image Entertainment DOES have a Cher Concert on their upcoming release list for September. BUT it is a release in a new format (UMD) which is used in PSP. It does not specify if it is the Miami taping or the Hollywood Bowl. I will try to get a definite answer and post as soon as I know. Don't hold your breath, it may be awhile. Susan

Well at least Image Entertainment is super fast in their response time. Here is the reply:
Dear Susan, Thank you for your inquiry. Image Entertainment's upcoming Cher UMD release features the same concert that is currently available for purchase on DVD. Unfortunately at this point in time Image Entertainment does not have any plans regarding the release of the Final Cher Concert on DVD. However, I will pass your email onto our acquisitions department, which will look into the possibility of releasing Cher's final concert on DVD at some point in the future.
Thank you.

Thing is with the CDs is that they always "cut" them. Any "bad" words are taken out, etc. Thing is that is all such a part of CHERs humor, why put out a CD if they "cut" it? ?

I also "wish it had been a yes" too, Susan... and thanx for the info... It would be really cool if the "Final Farewell" concert at the Hollywood Bowl was released on DVD with like a documentary-style movie about the entire tour... The movie would include behind-the-scenes footage along with short clips from some of the first 324 shows, and then the entire "final farewell" concert would be at the end... I think that something along these lines would be a really cool idea... especially since IF they do decide to release it, they're going to need to do something like that in order to get a lot of the "non-diehards" to buy it, ya know? Otherwise, it would basically just be the same songs and most of the same costumes as what was on THE FAREWELL TOUR (Miami) DVD... and it would be kinda hard for some people to justify buying the new Hollywood Bowl DVD... Of course, I'm not referring to anyone here... but you know what I mean... I just think that IF they do eventually release the "Final Farewell" concert on DVD, that would be the perfect place for a documentary about the tour or something cool like that... And yea, a "Final Farewell" CD would be cool too, but without the visuals, I don't think it would sell that much since all the songs are already on the LIVE CD that came out in 2003... But they could do something cool and include the CD as a "bonus" item along with the DVD...

Yeah, those are good ideas. I dont think a newer DVD would be very high selling so maybe they should just release a small amount, so the Diehard fans can get it but there wont be thousands of extra DVDs they cant sell.
