I had gotten 2 calls from my dad, he said Cher was on.. Here is was her concert, and wouldn't you know it, we didn't have that PBS station here but people were calling in and making donations, he was telling me this, lol.. For a 75.00 donation, you would get the Live CD, for a 100.00 donation, you would get the VHS and for 150.00 donation, you would get the DVD of the concert.. It was nice hearing about it though, so then I had to put my dvd in.. ;D Just a little tidbit of info for you all..

One of the pharmcists at work who contributes to PBS each year gets a monthly program guide and he told me she was going to be on. I said is it the Farewell Tour and he said Nothing about Cher gets past you does it James? I then told him I already had the dvd and he asked how much did you pay for it and I told him 14 bucks. He thought that was better than 150. I think it was really cool of her to let them show it during their fund raising time. James

LOL James.. That's something about nothing getting past you about Cher, I know that.. My dad says, oh she's singing in the blonde wig, lol, and I said yea, that's the concert I saw.. Him and mom should know that by now, because when they come down, I can't even count how many times that I played it for them, lol.. They should be used to it by now.. I bet you're friend was shocked when you told him that you paid only 14.00.. It is so great of Cher to do the things she does, she is so wonderful.. Even mom and dad had the concert on twice when PBS aired, I bet alot of people had it on, even the one announcers was saying Cher was his favorite, it's like I heard it all over the phone, lol, it was fun...

TEXT They ran that here too not long ago on our PBS satation. Even though it was broken up with intermissions to raise money for the station, I really wish I had taped it anyway because the fun of it was in hearing what the hosts had to say about her. I loved the all positive vibe. Of course they were offering her DVD, CD, and VHS and they had to build her up for the donations, but I still thought it was cool they chose to use Cher and she allowed them too.
PBS offers its best programing during Festival each year and it is usually filled with "Legends" in musical performances often only shown at that time of year. So I saw it as good publicity for Cher and it was fun to see what the hosts could find to say about her on each break! The one host was pretty young so he couldn`t speak from experience like the woman could. I found it almost funny at times, but they were very nice. I`d love to know how many they sold though!

Yes, they showed a cool Carpenters show one nite too. And Roy Orbisons Black & White Nite. Awsome show. Recorded not too long before he died. He is another of my favorites. But no one touchs Cher in that dept. LOL.
