Thanks Jan...I picked it up earlier and it's awesome! :-) I ended up finding two other mags with Cher in them, so it was a Cherific day. ;D Julie

Picked mine up today. I don't normally read magazines like that (honestly, I don't care what Ben & Jen or any of those other high-profile celebs are doing!) but it was nice to see Cher in there! Great photo, great color, great story! The end part of it was so sweet. ^^

Lol...Ash. I know what you mean. I don't really mind reading People every now and then, but I don't sit there for hours just to read about ppl like the "Newlyweds" or the latest person kicked off from Survivor and etc...lol. I usually scan thru different mags when I'm in line at the grocery store with my mom or something...and usually I do that just to see if Cher is mentioned. Anyways, I thought that Cher writing about Sonny was really neat...I also think that Cher really showed a lot of class (as always, of course) by giving Sonny the credit for her making it to where she is today. I bet he's really proud of her and watching over her, wherever he is... Julie |

I didn't even realize she was in the same issue multiple times... she's on page 88 with the two-page "most significant moment" thing, then again on page 110, with an older outfit of hers being compared to a similar one Beyonce wore (big picture, very cool!), and then again with a small picture and a quote on page 184. There's also a small picture of Sonny on page 240. Just figured I'd post that in case other people are as oblivious as I am. ^^

Lol....you crack me up Ash! I didn't see those other pages, and I am soooo glad that you pointed them out! I haven't really read thru all of the mag yet, so I guess that would be why I didn't pick them out, but my luck I would have set the magazine aside into my "Cher Box" (yes, I have a Cher Box filled with magazines and other Cher and Sonny&Cher stuff) and I probably wouldn't have noticed those other pages until years down the road....  Julie Oh, and I almost forgot to Cher! Today I started my Gourmet Foods class, and we had to cut out pictures of food and etc. from various old magazines that the teacher had on a shelf, and so I went through and tore out a bunch of pages I thought I could use from a Family Circle mag, and when I went to pick one of them up to cut something out, something got my eye down towards the left-hand corner of the page. Turns out, it was a picture of Cher and Nicolas Cage from Moonstruck, when they were at the Opera! I was so surprised that I screamed out and a couple of people just looked at me and one girl was like "uh...are you ok? what's the matter?'. Lol.  Ohwell...I made sure to cut the picture and small article out and bring it home. It's also kind of weird, because I just recently got the Moonstruck DVD and watched it for the very first time... it's a pretty good movie but Mermaids is my favorite. :-) |

I picked mine up yesterday. I dragged my poor son Pat all over looking for this issue. I swear we found every special People magazine but this one. Finally found it at the grocery store! I made Pat get me a different one cause the one I originally picked up was bent in the corner, he really thought I was nuts! Never did find the enquirer with Cher in it, unless I missed her while scannig through. Who is on the cover? The people is really nice and worth picking up. DEE

I haven't had a chance to get "People" yet, but I'll get one tomorrow. It's so cool that "People" always has a lot of Cher stuff in their "anniversary" issues... I used to really like "People", but have to admit that it has become pretty tabloidy in recent years... at least it's not as bad as "Us Weekly" though -- it used to be a pretty cool entertainment mag, and it's now just like the tabloids, only printed on better paper... I used to buy both of them regularly, but will only buy them now if there's a mention/picture of Cher...
I haven't bought a tabloid since 1997, but I have a good friend who works in a bookstore, and at the end of each week, she will sometimes look through them for me to see if there's anything Cher-related because all she has to do is return the cover of the tabloids that did not sell, and the rest of it just goes in the trash... so I will get an envelope in the mail from her like 3 or 4 times a year with a bunch of Cher tabloid articles from the past few months... The only bad part about that is whenever there's a picture of Cher on the cover, I don't get it because she has to return the covers of unsold magazines to the publisher... But, if she thinks that I just HAVE to see a certain cover photo, she'll buy it and include it in the envelope too...
