O/T ROSIE O'DONNELL

Sorry I know many ppl have had it w/Rosie and her views..but I really felt for her recently w/this whole View fiasco..Not only did I catch her View ordeal on Utube since I was working when real show was on..and I recently also saw her video blog she did recently..I really felt for her on both accounts..I've met her 3X (once in LI..her hometown)and 2X in Manhattan..she is mega down to earth and good to her fans firstly..My friend Robin also graduated w/her from HS..but personal accounts aside..After seeing it all and hearing it all..As much as I adore Joy Behar and I do..she's very talented..I kinda thought SHE must feel real bad since it was SHE who kinda started the whole discussion about Bush and the war and all..no? She MUST feel bad..I found it funny the "media"never kinda mentioned that..I showed others the Utube and they too were shocked Behar was not mentioned at all in the media for well starting the discussion..I adore Behar as well though..I dunno..Just felt bad that Elizabeth could not "defend" Rosie which is really what she was looking for or so it seemed..I mean any "friend" would that I know..I also felt for Rosie how they did the whole split screen thing..it really bothered her and I honestly can't blame her..I know she was scheduled to leave soon anyways but thought she "deserved" a better departure! She brought the ratings up mega and deserved better..Was curious if anyone else caught it and or what other ppl thought..I for one commend Rosie for her HONEST voicing of her opinions! And feel free to send her this if u see it..I love her and think she rocks and will show em all down the line her amazing open heartedness and talent..! ROSIE ROCKS

I actually saw the show because I've taped it since Rosie started. It was really upsetting what The View did to Rosie that day. Joy kept trying to get them to go to commercial but no one would listen to her. Sherrie Shepard even got them to stop fighting & said we'll be right back with Alicia Silverstone & then Rosie said no we won't because we have a bunch of time left. During the split screen if you listen closely Joy is saying in the background when did I get out of this conversation. She was trying her hardest to get in there & the cameras wouldn't show her.
Elizabeth seemed to be in a mood that day, if you watch before the fight started she kept interrupting Joy when she was trying to read the list of what Bush has done wrong.

I'm on Rosie's side on this one, she deserved to be treated better!

I was also disappointed on Tues to see Elizabeth say that she had been in constant contact with Rosie over the weekend to start the healing process. Rosie said on her blog they did one E mail thing & that was it & she probably wasn't going to talk to her anymore because she thought that would be best. Say what you want to about Rosie but at least she tells us the truth.

Bravo to your post Mike..I couldn't agree w/you more..Yea I too caught Rosie's video blog she did..If I remember correctly she said her partner Kelli s/w Elizabeth yet they did exchange emails..either way..I agree Elizabeth was in a mood..even w/Joy..kept interrupting her..etc..I felt saddened just from the ratings she pulled in alone for them they didn't give her the proper exit she so deserved..they orig said she'd guest here and there on the show but now I guess she won't? Then again..She just deserved to be treated better on her departure..ROSIE RULES

Yes its exciting that she's putting that stuff on dvd. I loved her old show it was so fun. Rosie was always great with Cher, they looked like they always had a great time together.

Rosie has also said on her blog that she has a new book coming out Sept 18 called Celeb Detox. she will be doing book signings for it. I'd love to go.

Yea they mentioned about the book signings on radio the other day..I've met her several times she is real real real down to earth..we met her one time in Long Island area here..her hometown as u know..and once after her show Seussical on Broadway and most recently after her Fiddler debut on Broadway last yr..she's really sweet to her fans..u talk to her as if she were your friend up the street! LOL..There's a whole 2 pg article too in this wk's People (L Lohan on cover)about Rosie as well..was interesting..appears CBS and NBC offered her stuff already re: her own show which I wish she'd do again but doubt she will..

I saw a poll in the In Touch Magazine asking who's side you were on Rosie or Elizabeth. Rosie won 62%. It said they were cursing at each other during the commercial break & Rosie screamed I can't wait to leave. Elizabeth was in tears.

Rosie might do her own show again, she said earlier this year on her blog she was considering it but didn't know if she was up for handling a show by herself again or not. I for one hope she does, I loved her other show & she is a natural when it comes to hosting a talk show.

Ooh hope she considers her own show again as well..Hopin she's not feeling as though "it's a step back" if u know what I mean...I really would love that again!

Yea I've been to four of her live tapings w/friends..one show Cher was on and we got the actual tickets thru Cher NOT Rosie! LOL..When we were at her First Time/Believe signing in NY I told her how I had sent pics of my collection to the Rosie show and how her producer Bob Pearce called me but although he was a doll and sent me "Rosie" signed memorabilia (hats and stuff)I couldn't get a ticket so Cher in 2 seconds winked at me, snapped her finger and called over her mgr and boom 2 tickets were held aside..By time we got home from Manhattan that day there was a message from her old mgt that Cher had 2 tickets held aside..was awesome and a day I'll never forget.Cher has ALWAYS been extremely gracious to her fans..Only thing "at the time" that stunk was before I was "online" and none of my "local" friends liked Cher..but one thank god loved Rosie so it worked out! LOL..We also went to 3 other tapings w/"other" guests was always a fun time..Still got a few koosh balls from the show too:) ROCKED..I gotta dig up some of the pics we took in the studio the day we went when Cher was on..god knows what scrapbook they're in though..I hear CBS and NBC made her offerings..hope she accepts it and maybe re considers it..if so Mike u gotta come on down and we'll go:) u would love her live shows..But now w/all her kids kinda think she won't:( But hey u never know! PS: I think one of my Cher buds later told me they saw my denim Cher jacket in the audience..i don't remember that though but if u taped it u may see back of me! LOL

So you were there when Cher was promoting Believe? IF so I have it so I can check to see if I can see you in the audience.

Maybe i'll come in September when Rosie does book signings. How hard would it be to meet her?

Yea I remember ppl telling me they saw the back of my jacket a lot..I can't remember offhand gotta check thru all my copies of the o'l tapes! LOL..I remember the woman next to us on the cell w/her hubby and she was like hon u can't miss me I am next to the girl w/the Cher jacket! LOL..she called him during the break! LOL..Umm Rosie was pretty easy for me to meet cos she's done LI comedy shows here and Broadway in past and a signing for her Xmas cd..nowadays I dunno I would think if she does another signing pretty easy..she's super nice..very down to earth

I need to check the interview out maybe I can do that tonight.

If its that easy to meet Rosie then maybe I should come to the big city in September & give it a shot. It would be cool if she & Cher were out promoting stuff at the same time.
