I watched it..some of my outta state relatives in watched it as well as some of my local friends I used to see Madonna with numerous times back in the 80s..we all were so disappointed..Her earlier shows we thought were 1000X better..I dunno gimmie Cher any day..plus Cher I dunno much more personable w/the crowd..I think madonna is extremely talented though..she looks great and does sound great. We just thought it was missing something..way too techo her new stuff and I dunno..just lacked something..did anyone else catch it? I love Madonna's old stuff so much more..w/the exception of Ray of Light..I love that one as far as some of her "newer stuff" but give us Burning up and Dress U Up anyday..
I watched the tv special & I also saw the show live in Chicago this past summer. The tv special cut out her opening monologue when she welcomed everyone to the show. I also noticed they cut out Lucky Star completly.
I hope it gets released on dvd, her Reinvention Tour in 2004 was great & it was never released. She went back & did all of big songs from the 80's.

I saw the show on TV and in person over the summer in Boston, I have to say that the live show was much better than it looked on TV. I don't think it was filmed very well, not enough shots of the audience or the whole stage. They cut out Lucky Star as well as Paradise Not For Me, and Drowned World/Substitute for love, and they cut out some of the in-between stuff like videos and monologues. Hopefully the DVD will be better, and did anyone see Addie Yungamee on it? She was one of the dancers.
OK was wondering cos I know several (incl me)who saw the tv special..it stunk! MEGA! Gimmie Cher anyday! And we all love Madonna..It was more than liking her old music over the new too..it was just too techno and missing something! Bigtime..Even my mom loves her and got bored watching it..Just lacked something..I had a feeling the live show would be better than the special was
