OMG...THEY ROCKED!! Didn't they Janet Buddy?? AND HILARY WON!! OWWWW! That was the BOMB! So Did CATE BLANCHETT..just loved her to bits as Katharine Hepburn in THE AVIATOR! CLINT...MORGAN..and MILLION DOLLAR BABY WON!! WHOHOO! Such a great great movie...bring a HUGE BOX OF KLEENEX! OMG....I went with Coley and he kept wiping the tears away from my eyes...!!!  He was sooo cute! Wanted to see that movie sooo sooo bad!!..I left you a message Janet!!..I WAS BAWLING AT THE END OF THAT MOVIE!! Whoa...Loved Hilary's Gown...THE BEST! |

I know we had my friend Beth's surprise party and then everyone stayed over for Oscars...was so loud in there didn't even hear the phone! LOL..Told u that u would love it..was happy she won and Morgan too and yea she did great job in Avaitor so was glad she won..didn't care for that Movie as much as MDB but she was def great in that role and so deserved to win:) My friends and I thought Chris Rock sucked as host ..compared to Billy anyways..the only funny part was the Bush stuff! LOL..he didn't like even breathe once and the audience def did not laugh as much I thought..gimmie billy anyday

I had mixed feelings about the Oscars last night... I didn't like the whole present-awards-in-the-middle-of-the-audience thing and I also had mixed feelings about the have-everyone-who-was-nominated-in-certain-categories-stand-on-stage thing. I also have to agree with you Jan - with the exception of the Bush jokes (and come on - is it that hard to make a funny Bush joke?  ) I thought Chris Rock did a pretty lousy job as host. I was pleased with who the awards went to though! Was glad that Clint Eastwood (a surprise - I was sure it was going to Martin Scorsese) and Hillary Swank won, was glad that Eternal Sunshine won screenplay, was glad that Million Dollar Baby won best film (again, sure it was going to The Aviator), was glad Lemony Snikket won for makeup and Incredibles for animation, that Cate Blanchet won her portrayal of Katharine Hepburn... all that part of it was very pleasing!  And did you see how the first thing Julia Roberts said when she presented was, "Happy Birthday, Marva," or some name like that? My mom joked that she was gonna have to complain that she got it wrong cause she paid her to say Happy Birthday Megen... lol |

yeah...who the heck is Marva anyhoo?? LMAO...Hey Meg!! How are ya girl?? I am agreement with y'all most definitely about Chris Rock...STUNK! GIve me Billy or Ellen anyday!! THEY ROCK!!...Also Megen..totally agree with you about the presenting and accepting the awards in the audience...man that was REALLY WEIRD!! Loved all that won!! AND Yep...thought AVIATOR was going to WIN...but I was soooo fond of both movies...so I didn't care in the least. Didn't see RAY yet...so don't know about Jamie Foxx but I heard he was incredible! I cried though when he was talking about his GRAMMIE...I know...what a sap! I AM...TOTALLY!!  |

I'm hangin' in there Di! I imagine Marva must be a friend or relative of Julia's...I didn't see Ray either but really want to...I didn't cry but I did get a little furklempt when Jamie was talking about his grandmother - he talked about her at the Golden Globes too. I always get a little choked up when people win awards, who I believe are very deserving of them, and give nice acceptance speeches. |

Me too..I'm such a SAP!! lol... Moosh...Moosh...and more Moosh. LOL!! When I saw MILLION DOLLAR BABY, my son went with me. I didn't know it...but he was watching me at the end..and he literallly, wiped the tears away from my eyes...it was sooo sweet! So bring your hankies if you see that movie!! |
