I'm not a sports person at all - but congrats to your team Michael! My sister is going to BU now so she's been immersed in all the Red Sox stuff going on, I'm sure. But me, when I hear Red Sox the only thing I think of is "Red Sox" being carved in Joe's/Charlotte's bedroom door in "Mermaids!" lol

Good on you, Susan!!! I know how you are feeling with the devastating loss of your team... I have been there MANY MANY times as a Sox fan... allow me to attempt to comfort you with these words: "Wait 'till next year!" ;D (Doesn't really help. does it???)
Can't wait for tonight!!! GO SOX! mjf

Congrats to all Red Sox fans!!! I was rooting for the Yankees, but this IS really Boston's year. Tonite I'll be screaming "GO SOX!" along with everyone else. (Tough to be a Yankee fan in Red Sox territory) After losing 4 in a row, I know how Sox fans feel now!! Getting my share of "Sorry for your loss" at work from the customers!!! What's the difference between a Yankee and a prostitute? A prostiture doesn't choke. Can I post this? It doesn't have any bad words in it. I thought the Sox fans would like it, especially coming from a Yankee fan!!! I really hope the Red Sox DO IT this year. It's about time! Johnny Damon can be my 'daddy' anytime!!! I wish the boys from "Animal House" the best!!! I sure hope they 'reverse the curse' Yvette

Aw, Jan, it's totally nuts!! Heard nightmare stories of people paying two grand for bleacher seats on ebay... go to the park to meet the guy and get the tickets, and the tix are UNSCANNABLE at the gate and they can't get in to the park, and the seller disappears.... can you imagine?? Beyond any Cher-concert-horror-story I've ever heard (and we've heard some bad ones!!).
I've seen 7 games at Fenway this year, Jan, and I think that's gonna have to be that! Unless, of course, a miracle happens.... Seems to be the season for that kind of thing!
It's a freezin' cold, misty-damp night in Boston tonight anyway... a great night for snuggling in with popcorn and rootin' for another big win on TV!
GO SOX! xxM
PS: The FOX announcers suck out loud!
PPS: Yvette, that joke was great! I've been REALLY good and haven't rubbed any NYY's fans faces in their defeat... it sure was a bitter one, and like you said, now you and all the NYY fans know the heartache the Sox fans have known all too well for soooo many years. A Sox victory in this series would bring sooo much joy to so many generations of fans and families! If only my grandfather had made it past April to see this series, man...

Had to work the DAY shift Tuesday, so I set my alarm and woke up to "Believe" on the radio - AGAIN!!! It seems like the Red Sox fans have adopted this slogan since they beat the Yankees, and I've heard the radio station playing "Believe" a lot more now!!! Maybe this particular DJ is another Cher fan - who knows But it's great to hear that song a lot lately!! ;D Just had to "Cher" this with you guys. Michael and Alexandria, Congrats on 'your team' for winning 3 games so far! Yvette

"I think I'll cry for a week if they sweep it tonight..." Stock up on kleenex, Michael!!! Congratulations!!! I am sooooo glad they won after 86 years!! They really deserved it this year - IT WAS THEIR YEAR!!! And to win it during a full lunar eclipse - that's awesome! It was a gorgeous full moon, too - my bar customers and even myself kept running outside to check out the eclipse in different stages! Now all you Red Sox fans can get caught up on sleep!!! Yvette

When I checked the eclipse last night, the moon was turning red! And I knew at that moment that this was a day I would never never forget.
For my grandfather, who died waiting for his beloved Red Sox to bring a trophy home... I have his Sox hat, and I'm gonna be at that parade and hold that hat high for him...!!...
For ALL baseball fans, who root for their heroes win or lose!!...
Foar ALL underdogs, people who have had adversity in their lives, who have been counted out, who have been told that they'll never acheive what they set out to do...
...the Red Sox showed me last night (as Cher has shown me many times) that dreams come true, that destiny is made, when you have faith and believe that all things are possible!
THE RED SOX HAVE WON THE WORLD SERIES!! Now EVERYTHING is possible! It's a new day.... ...let the party begin!!!!!!!
GO SOX!!!!!! xx m
