Susan - I love Gaby! She was nice enough to make a banner/avatar for my posts, and I got the avatar there, but it's looking like the banner is where I'm getting stumped; it's just not showing. What am I doing wrong?

Take the Banner address and put it in your "signature" box in your profile. Put the address between [ img ] and [ / img ] with no spaces. If you (or anyone else who is reading this) need your banner hosted let me know. There is an account set up for anyone that needs it.
Let me know if you need more help.

I have a banner question Susan... I am so torn because I have a new Cher banner that I'd like to use...but I'm also very very ADAMENTLY against Bush and would like to keep my Cher/antiBush banner up through the election... Basically my question is - what's the policy about having two banners? Is it okay? A no no? Thank you in advance...  |

Hi Megan,
The only reason I would want us to keep it to one banner would be that too many and it will slow down the system (although not nearly as much as it seemed to slow ezboard) and could result in loading problems for anyone on a slower connection. The banners are also best kept to non animated (Avatars that are animated should not be a problem). If you want to use your new Cher banner now, you could always put the text of your current banner as a small print quote underneath your Cher banner. Switching off every few days could work too.

I still don't have one:( LOL..Hey Megen I am still on a mailing list for Kerry stuff and if Cher comes let's go:) My friend Diane and I saw Cher perform for the Clintons when she was at Roseland so now I am getting every Kerry mailing in creation! LOL:)

Thanks for the info Susan. I didn't know about animated banners being a problem in terms of loading. Guess I'm spoiled rotten by fast internet connections for the last 4 years. Let me know if my animated Cher/antiBush banner is a problem and I'll alter it. Jan: I cannot wait til October and the Cher Kerry campaigning! I hope she does a bazillion interviews and rallys. If you hear anything, let me know - would love to go to one. And btw, just thought I'd also offer my banner/avatar making services if anyone wants. |
