Omg!!!!!!! Thank you guys for the bday wishes...I can't believe it's been so long since I've been on here!! I think about you all everyday, but I get so busy with work and life that I never sit down and come on here. Jan and Lisa (and others nearby!), Kim (my girlfriend) and I are discussing moving to Pennsylvania...we are just in the talking stages right now, so nothing's set in stone by any means. ...but we are planning on taking a trip at some point to scope things out. How was everyone's summers?? Mine was ok...just wish it could have lasted longer and that I had more $$ to do things! I am taking this semester off from school because I decided I want to change my major and I needed a break to figure things out. Has anyone heard of Brandi Carlile?? She falls into the folk genre, but it's not striaght-lace, if you get what I mean. I went to Freeport a few weekends ago to see her and the Indigo Girls at LL Bean. Each summer LL Bean has a free summer concert series. I was more impressed with Brandi Carlile than the Indigo Girls...they were good and it was awesome to say I saw them, but they seemed a little burned out when it came to communicating with the audience...Brandi was cracking jokes in-between her songs and getting the crowd to sing along, etc. She was a hoot. I got her "The Story" album, which is her 2nd, and it's AWESOME. ...Anway, my little soap box for the day! Sorry for being all over the place in this post, but I've missed you guys!!

Happy Belated, Julie!
I like Brandi Carlile, but I only know a couple of her songs, so I'll have to check out some more... On the Indigo Girls' last album, Brandi is a guest vocalist on the song "Last Tears", and that song is so beautiful... definitely check it out if you haven't already...
and yea, this summer FLEW BY!!!

I LOVE Last Tears...that's one of my favorites from the Indigo Girls. I got their latest album as well, but I have to admit I've listened to Brandi's the most! She came out to do a few songs with them throughout the night, so that was fun. Jan, sorry to hear about your back, but glad you had an awesome summer! Mine wasn't terrible...it just went by way too fast! Your niece must be getting so big by now!!

Aww, I can't believe a year has gone by so fast! Yes, you better recover soon because I'd love to take a trip out to NY once I get some bills out of the way--got to love life sometimes!
