Money and distance is not an excuse. You do not have to have the ability or money to go to sign the petition. All we care about is your support, regardless of whether or not you can go. Why do you not support Cher in going to Vegas in 2008?
Not having a computer is not an excuse, ask a friend who has a computer if you can use it for a minute to sign it or go to a public library or use your school computer.
Being too busy is not an excuse. Sign it before you go to bed. IT ONLY TAKES TWO SECONDS OF YOUR LIFE!!!
Being lazy is not an excuse. If you are a fan of Cher and you want her in Vegas, then you'd sign it.
Not thinking Cher will do it is not an excuse. That's a very bad attitude! That bad attitude will not get you to sign the petition and will not help you or anyone.
Forgetting to sign it is not an excuse. If you forgot, there's a reason for it. You WANTED to forget because you're not interested in seeing Cher in Vegas.
I don't think people really understand how important the petition is and what it does. The more people signs it, the more convinced Cher may do it and Caesar's will consider her as one of the acts. Some people do not think the petition will help. If Caesar's Palace doesn't consider Cher as an act, then we wasted our times. I wasted my time and I don't think a place like them will want us doing that. If a petition is started, there's a good reason for it and petitiononline.com doesn't host petition to waste money. Go to its page, look at the FAQ and you will see that their petitions have had success! Their petitions have worked!!
I am exhausted and I have been working I disagree off for weeks on this. No one else is helping me. Though I do believe some people have spread the word but not enough have. I have been working on this every day, trying to get people to sign it sine not long after Mother's Day and it's been nearly a month now.
I wanted to post this on every Cher forums but I figured, what's the point? Cher fans are too inactive right now in forums so I thought it'd be a waste of time but maybe I should've tried anyway.
I have emailed all magazines and news I can think of and the only person who paid attention to me is Jerry Fink from the Las Vegas Sun news. It doesn't take "time" to develop the story about the petition because when a news reporter or magazine editor gets a story, they have to develop it in a timely maner. Source: experience in journalism.
I have made a video about it and uploaded it on youtube, made a myspace about it, posted it to all of my hotmail contacts which so many of them are Cher fans.
Are you guys really not interested in seeing Cher do Vegas? Why not? Do you not want to see Cher perform again? With not enough signatures, this is telling me that no one cares about Cher anymore. I suppose that's why Cher's forums are inactive. I am a big fan and am I still posting on Cher's forums. She may not be in the spotlight, singing or acting now but that does not mean we need to give up on her or not talk about her anymore. With this little number of signatures and how inactive Cher forums are, it sounds like so many Cher fans have given up on her. How do you think Cher got so popular? It was because of US!! Now we're ready to give up on her just because she was around for 40 years and we're bored with her?
I am exhausted and I resent that some people tell me I am obsessed and I have no life. I have a grandfather in the hospital who is probably dying, I have a job and I am trying to wrap up everything as I can before I leave my employment to go back to college and I am in preparations to go back into college. I have to do so much housework than usual because everyone is very busy taking care of my grandfather's business. I try to make every effort to enjoy a beautiful day but I cannot because of so much things going on and because of the petition which I feel is extremely important.
I am sorry if I am harsh but that is the truth and I am very frustrated and tired. And I don't think people really can see that or understand that. I am by myself in this. I am the only one who is widely spreading the word about the petition. It does not help to see people be so mean and rude to me about it. It makes it harder on me than it should be!
We have about 6 billions people in the world and about 2.5 millions are fans of Cher or so I thought. I had thought that more than 454 people would've signed the petition by now but I guess not. I guess Cher fans just don't care anymore. I guess if no one cares anymore, then Cher shouldn't even do Vegas. I don't even know why Cher wants to do Vegas if her fans don't care about her doing it or doing anything anymore.
I don't care if the forums are inactive. And I don't care if people call me obsessed. If I'm obsessed, then I will be if I want to! And I have a very good reason to be!
Last summer, I worked for four months putting together a Cher's Farewell tour movie that was of course unofficial. I didn't have all bootlegs I needed so I went everywhere, worked day and night, every day to get it done and went through Hell, talking to so many people, getting banned from Cher.com and having so many people be so rude and mean and unsupportive. However, I still got it done no matter what. It was very exhausting and was killing me but I still got it done.
Some people said the wording of the petition is terrible. I don't see that anywhere and I think that's the person's way of saying they refuse to sign it. As for insulting other artists, I don't see it as an insult. I still listen to Michael Jackson when I can and have followed his child molestation case. I said it to strongly convince Caesar's that we want Cher as act, not Michael or Prince. They only need one more act and if they consider Prince or Michael, Cher is out. I was speaking the truth in the petition. I'd be lying big time if I said the opposite of everything.
If you people think I'm gonna give up, I'm not. I'm going to get as many signatures as possible or way or the other.
I just wish enough people would understand what I am going through but I hope this gives you a more clear prespective. But I honestly don't think enough people really understand.
