Jan asked me to copy and paste this to you guys from her: WOO HOO..Hey Sue or Pam can u cut and paste this to cherconnection.com for me:) WKJY radio in LI was mentioning about a Shania Twain convention ahead so I called and fiqured what the hell..I mentioned how CHER has one too..they did not know..and he said they'll announce about it..kinda cool huh? "Just wanted to mention CHER has her big convention at the Riveria hotel in Las Vegas this summer..July 16th and July 17th and all proceeds go to her wonderful Charity the Children's Craniofacial Association!" They're gonna mention me and Bert's name on KJOY:) The Long Island Radio (98.3)..here is the DJ's response to me! **Great, I'll pass it along. Thanks! Jim** Pam

Thanks Pam for posting that... and Jan, it's very cool that you called that radio station to let them know about the convention, and please let us know if you hear them mention your and Bert's name...
A Shania Twain convention?!?! I guess it's very cool that Shania's fans only took 9 years to get a convention organized, and I'm sure the Shania fans will have a blast... but I just found it kinda funny that she's having one so soon when Cher didn't have one until 35 years into her career...
I'm not a huge Shania fan, but I do like a couple of her songs, and I really love that one truck commercial -- the one where there is a truck filled with guys and there's one guy in the backseat who is singing along with Shania on the radio... What's so funny about it is that the song he's singing is "Man, I Feel Like A Woman!", and he's totally getting into it, just singing his heart out... LOL! All his friends have these really funny looks on their faces, like, "what is he doing?" It's a hilarious commercial and I laugh every time I see it...

This is so cool! Great to get the news out about the convention! Way to go Jan! Dan, I love that commercial also, it is sooo funny! It reminds me of my oldest son who used to belt out songs all the time and would get some strange looks, but if he liked the song than he liked the song! One of his favorites was Dark Lady! Now, however he traded in good singing tunes for more alternative modern music, and he doesn't sing anymore. oh well, teens what you gonna do? DEE
