Here's another one that I just found from The Journal:
Celebrity bodies: Cher May 6 2004
By The Journal
The 57-year-old superstar (she is 58 on May 20) singer and Oscar-winning actress has been famous in the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and remains so.
"Being in my 50s sucks," she says. "There are no advantages about getting older, but it sure beats the alternative. But I don't really feel older. I don't have as much energy as when I was 30, but I don't imagine there are too many 30-year-olds who could keep up with me."
She recently completed her farewell tour of America and last year was No 5 in the top concert list, earning $63.2m.
Framework:
She's 5ft 8in and a trim 8st 3lb. She has deep brown eyes, prominent cheekbones, and a perfectly chiseled nose and jaw, all of which reflects her Cherokee Indian bloodline.
What does she think of all the stories alleging she has had surgery on her upper and lower eyelids, face and neck, a chemical face peel, collagen injections in her lips, a bottom job and even a rib removed to give her the perfect hourglass figure?
"Absolute nonsense! I've had my cheekbones since I was small - and it is impossible to have a rib removed."
She does, however, own up to a nose job, capped teeth and breast lifts.
Exercise:
"I work out - especially weightlifting - four or five days a week, usually for about an hour-and-a-half. I particularly enjoy the rowing machine and stationary bicycle. It's like chasing demons. I feel better when the endorphins come out.
"And thanks to yoga, which I do three days a week, I feel a lot more peaceful. I have a tendency to get depressed. In my life and in my family a history of depression is very prevalent. Yoga and exercise is a great help."
Diet:
"I'm now on an eating plan which I love." A typical day for her would be a big glass of vegetable juice for breakfast; salad for lunch; chicken, turkey or fish - no red meat - and vegetables for dinner.
"For a change, I'll enjoy a good curry," she says. "And, if I'm honest, I could easily become a chocoholic.
"Fortunately I manage to keep that down to the occasional bar."
When on tour or on the movie set, she packs her trailer with fat-free foods, vegetarian meals and lots of mineral water. But just so she doesn't feel deprived, she allows herself one meal a week of anything she wants. She loves chicken so much, she is considering writing a cookbook solely on chicken recipes.
Love-life:
Apart from her much-publicised marriage to the late Sonny Bono (with whom she had a daughter, Chastity), Cher was wed to rock star Greg Allman (with whom she had a son, Elijah Blue), and has dated Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora, actor Peter Gallagher and bagel maker Rob Camilletti.
Among those with whom she has been romantically linked are Warren Beatty, Tom Cruise, Val Kilmer, Kiss's Gene Simmons and film producer David Geffen. Current rumours suggest she is again seeing Camilletti, 18 years younger than she.
