Happy St. Patrick's Day! So happy to hear the good news about your nephew! Congrats! Yes, I sort of fell asleep on this holiday. Our show opened this week plus our borough council is trying to tax our non-profit arts center into the ground so I have been spending time reading over laws and such. Sure wish I had gone to law school. It would have helped in this situation! I'm in the process at the moment of finding a pro bono lawyer that is an arts advocate. I have to laugh, "pro bono" Duh, of course I always want to deal with someone who is "pro bono"

I don't want to answer for Jan, but just to let you know I have heard from her in the last day and she is fine. I know she mentioned she was super swamped at work. I'm sure she will fill you in on all the details, but I wanted to post this just so you would know there was nothing to worry about. Susan

Hahaha! Lisa said cheap and Colony in the same sentence!!! #rofl5# Susan (Remembering the time the guy at Colony Records tried to sell her the original cast recording of the London production of Promises, Promises for $750.00)

Jeff Conaway. He was one of my crushes when I was a teen. You know how people do Rocky Horror? I'm one of the people that can do that with Grease. I hope if I ever get on jeopardy GREASE is a category. I feel bad to see the way Jeff is now. I think Bruce would be a nice guy to talk to, but he is the one person on the show that irritates me. I think it's because he jokes through everything. I know that is a defense mechanism, but I would probably try to offer him to the other team. Watching the show makes me appreciate that I only have 20 pounds I want to lose (Ten would be great, but twenty would be perfect).

But I'm thinking it's more truth than fiction.
A man died and went to heaven. As he stood in front of St. Peter at the Pearly Gates, he saw a huge wall of clocks behind him. He asked, "What are all those clocks?"
St. Peter answered, "Those are Lie-Clocks. Everyone on Earth has a Lie-Clock. Every time you lie, the hands on your clock will move."
"Oh," said the man, "whose clock is that?"
"That's Mother Teresa's. The hands have never moved, indicating that she never told a lie."
"Incredible," said the man. "And whose clock is that one?"
St. Peter responded, "That's Abraham Lincoln's clock. The hands have moved twice, telling us that Abe told only two lies in his entire life."
"Where's George W Bush's clock?" asked the man.
"Bush's clock is in Jesus' office. He's using it as a ceiling fan."

From Broadway.com: Pop star Cyndi Lauper will make her Broadway debut as Jenny in the upcoming Roundabout Theatre Company revival of The Threepenny Opera, according to a production spokesperson. Lauper is replacing previously announced star Edie Falco, who recently withdrew from the production. Lauper began her career in 1980 when her band at the time, Blue Angel, released a self-titled album. In 1983, she decided to depart the group and become a solo artist. It was in 1984 with the release of her debut album, She's So Unusual that Lauper hit the big time, selling nine million copies worldwide. She's So Unusual was the first debut album and the first debut album by a solo artist to garner four top five singles, "Girls Just Want To Have Fun," "All Through The Night," "She Bop," and "Time After Time." The album also earned Lauper a Grammy Award for Best New Artist. She went on to release and co-produce True Colors, which garnered another Grammy nomination for the artist. Her other albums include A Night To Remember, A Hat Full Of Stars, Sisters Of Avalon, Merry Xmas Have a Nice Life, Shine and At Last. Lauper has been nominated for the Emmy Award twice--and won once for a guest appearance on Mad About You. With her flamboyant style, Lauper has also established herself as a fashion icon. Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill's The Threepenny Opera serves up a dark satire of society, with dashing thieves, saucy prostitutes, and lingering melodies. Based on Elizabeth Hauptmann's German translation of John Gay's 18th-century The Beggar's Opera , The Threepenny Opera thrusts the audience into the seedy underworld of Mack the Knife, a dapper criminal and his wry love affair with Polly Peachum. In addition to Lauper, The Threepenny Opera, directed by Scott Elliott, will star Alan Cumming (Macheath), Jim Dale (Mr. Peachum), Ana Gasteyer (Mrs. Peachum) and Nellie McKay (Polly). The musical is scheduled to begin performances at Studio 54 on March 24 in preparation for an April 20 Broadway bow. www.broadway.com/Gen/Buzz_Story.aspx?ci=523033

Sorry to hear the bad part of it, but glad the doctor feels confident in beating it. I think sometimes a doctor's "over reserved" outlook puts doubt in a patients mind, so I am so glad to hear he has a positive thinking doctor! He will definitely stay in our thoughts and prayers. Please keep us posted! Good thoughts for Nick too! Do they still give all the ice cream you can eat? I never had mine out, but I remember ice cream galore in the "tonsil" episode of the Brady Bunch! Take Care! Susan

Sorry to hear this Dee. We will definitely keep the good thoughts and vibes going! Dee, whatever you do, encourage Ryan and his family to research this on their own too. He might be lucky enough to have wonderful doctors, but encourage him to ask questions. Sometimes I think people don't question enough. The doctor might be right on the money with things, but it's better to question and challenge (if needed). Just my opinionated two cents. Please keep us posted! Susan

I promise you guys, I will definitely get the photos uploaded tonight! Thanks so much for emailing them, Di! Susan

Sorry to hear this! Hope you feel better real soon Julie! And yes I agree, take a flashlight with you! I don't like to carry one, but they really are a good idea when it gets dark so early in the evening. The only other advice I can offer? Do NOT catch a cold! Feel better soon! Susan
