I was going to post this last night but I was just in a very angry mood so I waited til I calmed down.
I have been banned again from Cher.com's forum. I was looking at the other thread about the fan club and wanted to reply but thought I should create a new thread.
Well here's the scoop:
As we all probably know, there has been no news at all from Cher.com since October 2006. I like "Strong Enough" but they need to change the intro music. I don't know how long it's been there but I know it's been there since I was first a member in 2004. We need a different intro music. We need something new, something different! Cher should be in the spotlight again soon, probably a new woman with a new image so how about something different?
Ok here's what's been happening since last night on the forum. You may not notice any differences so I'm telling you. First I was banned. Why? I don't know! I was just posting and doing what I always do then boom! I'm banned. Some people asked me why I was banned and I said I didn't know. I was too angry that I wasn't going to even contact CherAdmin and ask. I've had enough of him. I decided not to come back and I don't care if he apologizes. I've been banned too many times already. Only one time he banned me and he did it for the right reason. Other times, he did it because he felt like it.
Now more and more people are being banned and warned. The main issue, I think, is the thread there "What are you listening to?" Many are claiming that CherAdmin either warned them or banned them because they posted too many times in that thread. I think there are a lot of other problems but that's one problem I am hearing. One person is telling me that he's banned because CherAdmin told him that he didn't have enough kudos or counts and that he needs to post more from his other account before he is unbanned. Another said he was warned because he posted too much in one thread. Another person posted so much in that thread and did not even get a warning. Favoritism, anyone?
So there is a lot of problems that needs to be fixed at Cher.com and yes at the fan club too. Warner Bros is obviously not doing a good job keeping an eye on things. The administrator is doing a terrible job, not keeping fans or the site up to date and just warning and banning people when no one was doing anything wrong. I don't think Cher would appreciate this. This is not something Cher would want to see happening to her fans.
I even said to a lot of people that if they are not members yet, then good for them! If they are already members, then they should delete their accounts in protest of CherAdmin being there.
Something has to be done about Warner Bros not keeping an eye on Cher's website or the forum. I know it's a tough job because they have so many artists but they can do better. Madonna is under Warner Bros and her site is up to date. What's up with that? Cher deserves better than that. Instead, she got tabloids writing crap about her and her family. They're all forgetting that she is human!
Right now, Yuku and Warner Bros is being notified about CherAdmin (no, I'm not notifying them, someone else is). An online petition was brought up but may not work to get the record label to pay attention to us because phone numbers should be required and you know there are a lot of creeps out there. Nothing is going to get better with the fan club or Cher.com if no one speaks up so we're finally trying to do something. I don't even know if Cher is aware of those issues but I doubt it. Some people may be leaving Cher.com's forum which is a start in protesting! So it would be good if we would start doing something, it's about time we stop shutting up!
I cannot believe that CherAdmin is even connected with Warner Bros. First of all, he assigned two FANS to be moderators of the forum. Isn't it Warner Bros' job to be moderators if this is an OFFICIAL forum? I've never heard of a fan being a moderator for an OFFICIAL forum.
Secondly, I heard when I first started that he was only 18 and going to college which is why he does not have much time to log in because he had classes. By now he should be in his early 20s. Why would Warner Bros have someone in their company if they're going to college?
He has a hotmail account. If he's from Warner Bros, how come he doesn't have an account from Warner Bros. I know they have an email server at something like name@wbr.com, something like that. Right now, his email address is chermessageboard@hotmail.com. There is a webmaster@cher.com, nothing to do with Warner Bros. Why?
And why would Warner Bros want him to ban someone who did nothing wrong or because they "posted too many times" or because he wanted them to wait til their kudos were higher and they posted more from an old account. That doesn't really make sense to me.
I remember when Cher.com's forum was at ezboard.com and not yuku.com, CherAdmin borrowed guidelines from another ezboard board. Why not use guidelines Warner Bros wants him to use?
So you see, Cher.com is hardly up to date and the administrator is not being so liked very recently and some people are leaving. I've stated all the facts I've been seeing.
Guys, we have a problem.
